Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zerois a fast-paced 3D fighting game, so any ability that allows you to move quickly and dodge around your opponent is highly useful. While the Dragon Dash is perfect for flying around the arena quickly and avoiding incoming beam attacks (assuming you don’t fly directly into them, as I’ve been guilty of from time to time), its Follow-Up Move, the Z Burst Dash, is much better suited to approaching your foes quickly.
Knowing how and when to use the Z Burst Dash inDragon Ball: Sparking! Zerois crucial to success, especially when attempting any mission that requires you to beat your opponent quickly. This move, used right, can get you out of the way of Ki Blast attacks and Supers while putting you in the perfect position to counterattack or charge. This guide will explain how to use the Z Burst Dash, and talk about some of the tactical uses for it during combat.
How to Z Burst Dash in Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero
Performing a Z Burst Dash is pretty easy, requiring you to enter the same input again after starting a Dragon Dash. It is important to note that you must still be holding down the Charge Ki button when you perform the second input and that it won’t work if you make any directional input before pressing Dash again (Meaning this only works when using the Dragon Dash to move toward your opponent.) When input correctly, your character will spend 1 Bar of Ki to rapidly boost in a semicircle andget in close behind your opponent.
Xbox: RT + A, Twice.
PC: SHIFT + F, Twice.
The Z Burst Dash has immediate and obvious utility in combat, giving you a quick and easy way to zip behind your opponent, leaving them wide open for your rush combos and Super Attacks, thoughif they have decent timing they can use High-Speed Movement to Vanish and dodge your attack.(When your opponent uses the Z Burst Dash you should use this method to evade their incoming attack.) If you’re Dragon Dashing towards your opponent and they begin using a Super Attack, especially Beam or Blast Supers, you may use the Z Burst Dash to avoid it (This is a perfect time to charge an attack and hit them hard while they recover.)
After blowing your opponent away with a Super Attack or any other launching attack, you’re able to use the Z Burst Dash to close in on them and press the advantage. It also comes in handy during story missions when a new character enters the fight, allowing you to get over to them faster than any other method (excluding the Instant Transmission skill, which is only available to certain characters).
