Summary
Hunter x Huntermade its return with chapter 401 with an enormous reveal, and fans now know that Beyond Netero, the son of Isaac Netero, has a child among the Kakin princes.
As of right now, nobody knows for sure who it is. However, one can make some good assumptions about which princes are most likely to be his children, and which are least likely, awaiting more clues and answers from Togashi.
Hunter x Hunter Chapter 401 Reveals Beyond Netero’s Secret
In the return of theHunter x Huntermanga, a huge reveal was brought forth to the fans. Indeed, in chapter 401, Kurapika meets up with Longhi, the bodyguard of the 5th Prince of the Kakin Empire. Up until this point, Longhi was anything but a relevant character, but this chapter changed everything about her character, and the information she revealed changed all expectations for the Succession War currently taking place on the Black Whale.
Longhi revealed that she is the daughter of Beyond Netero, whom he has fathered with Kakin officers. She also reveals that she isn’t the only one, and that her father has had many children with the goal of making them into human sacrifices to further his own plans. The only other known child of Beyond so far is Makaha, Longhi’s half-sister.
Even more interestingly, Longhi reveals that she believes that one of the Princes in the Succession War competing to win the Kakin Throne is actually the child of Beyond Netero. Based on what Queen Oito has said to Kurapika, there is no mention of paternal lineage when it comes to participating in the Succession War, and all that’s really needed is to be born to one of Nasubi’s lawful wives.
Who the child of Beyond is remains a mystery. However, some princes are more likely than others to be related to him based on what’s been seen so far in the manga.
The Princes Most Likely To Be Beyond’s Child
So far, fans can only speculate on who this child of Beyond Netero is. With that,fans only have Longhi’s thoughts to go off ofwhen she says that she thinks one of the princes is Beyond’s child. It’s unlikely that Beyond has more than one Prince child, as that would heavily complicate the Succession War.

Longhi and her sister were both born with Nen due to the curse put on them. However, having had Nen before everything started isn’t really necessary as one could also assume that Beyond did not place a curse on his Prince child. These are the best contenders for being his son, however, it could really be anyone.
Tserriednich
One of the princes most fans first thought of when the reveal that Beyond has a child among the Kakin princes was definitely the 4th Prince of the Kakin empire, Tserriednich.This man has showcased terrifying potential when it comes to nen, being able to grasp it incredibly well in a very short period of time, something that would be unsurprising if it revealed that his father is Beyond Netero andhis grandfather is the legendary Isaac Netero.
It is also interesting to note that, appearance-wise, Tserriednich strikes a huge resemblance to his potential grandfather, Isaac Netero, during his prime years. Tserriednich is definitely one of the three best contenders for being the son of Beyond, but it could be said that his being the said child would be very predictable, and Togashi might have other plans in mind.
Camilla
Camilla is the second oldest Prince in the Kakin empire, and the eldest woman among them. Camilla is definitely one of the most fascinating characters among the princes, especially as she is one of two confirmed princes who could already use nen before the Succession War started, the other being the first prince Benjamin.
It makes sense for Benjamin to know nen as he is the first prince and a military man, but it’s unclear as to how or why Camilla could already use nen.
It could be possible that, just like Beyond’s other children, she had her nen awakened as a child. Her nen ability is also quite interesting as it is a postmortem nen that activates after her death, reviving her by killing whoever killed her and resurrecting her.
Woble
Woble is the youngest Prince among all 14, and is currently under the protection of Kurapika. Woble is still an infant. However, itwould definitely be interesting if Togashirevealed that she, among the princes, is actually the daughter of Beyond.
Simply put, Woble has showcased some odd behavior that wouldn’t be expected of a normal infant. She has shown the ability to sense malicious intent to a level that even Kurapika and Bill couldn’t. This happened as she started crying when Vincent approached them, the man who ended up killing Sandra, one of Queen Oito’s maids. Woble could see he was up to no good before anything had happened. This could be due to her nen beast that hasn’t been seen yet, or perhaps even because she already has nen as an infant. The children of Beyond have quickly developed the ability to use Zetsu as infants, which would explain how nobody could tell she has nen.

However, a big issue with Woble being Beyond’s child would be her own mother Oito. Oito has not mentioned having coupled with Beyond, but that could also possibly be due to some ability Beyond has.
Can Any Prince Be Fully Written Off As Beyond’s Child?
Benjamin and Zhang are Most Likely Not Beyond’s Children
While it’s hard to guess who Beyond’s child could be, there are a few princes who are most definitely not his.
To start off, Benjamin, the first Prince of the Kakin empire, is unlikely to be the son of Beyond.Longhi dismissed the idea that Prince Benjaminis who Beyond wants to take the Kakin throne. It could be that she is wrong. However, there would not be as much need for Beyond to go through all of this if his son was Benjamin and had one of the best chances of ascending the throne.
The second unlikely candidate is the third Prince Zhang. While it isn’t exactly confirmed, Togashi has seemingly implied that his father is neither King Nasubi nor Beyond, but Xi-Yu mafia leader, Onior Longbao. This theory is even more solid now that it is known that one doesn’t have to be fathered by King Nasubi to participate in the Succession War.
In a similar way to Prince Zhang, Prince Luzurus, while having less backing, is possibly the son of Cha-R leader Brocco Li, as they have a striking resemblance.
The deceased princes can also all be written out as possible children of Beyond. They could’ve been his children, but that would serve no purpose to the story.
