While the link between Syr and the Freya Familia still remains obscure, it’s clear that the members of the familia hold the tavern waitress in high regard. Hedin Selland, one of the highest ranking members of the familia, has taken up the task of personallypreparing Bell Cranelto bring him up to speed on being a gentleman fit for dating Syr. As a meticulous and uptight character, it’s only natural for Hedin to train Bell in an awfully gruesome manner.

From training Bell to walk upright to making him aware of the subtleties of women, Hedin has ensured that Bell can truly take care of Syr. Moreover, the training was accompanied by sleepless nights and multiple electrocutions, which ensured that the training would be drilled into Bell.

Bell and Syr’s romantic pairing had already been hinted at duringIs It Wrong to attempt to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon’sSeason 5 trailer. For the event to pass in the second episode of the season, however, was surely a surprise for many. After rigorous training, Bell was finally prepared to take Syr on a date, and the lessons from Hedin’s training came in handy throughout the date.
From holding Syr’s hand to feeding her with his own hands, Bell ticked all the boxes for a great date. For Syr, however, this was the opposite of the perfect date, as she merely wanted to go out on a date with Bell being his usual, bashful self. In a bid to escape the watchful eyes of Freya and her familia, Syr ends up asking Bell to kidnap her. With their daring escape from the public’s eyes,Bell and Syr’s datehas taken an unexpected turn, though these developments are sure to shake up the narrative.

Freya and Syr’s Rivalry Over Bell
Both Characters Are Gunning for the Same Person
With Syr already making a move on Bell, Freya has been angered by the introduction of a new romantic interest for Bell. However, Freya has decided to maintain a neutral stance for the time being, allowing Syr to explore her chances with Bell. Their rivalry over Bell makes Syr’s character all the more obscure, especially since she has been touted as a significant piece of the Freya Familia.
Nevertheless, the possibility of Syr being a vestige of Freya still remains, largely due to the fact that both characters bear a similarobsession over Bell Cranel. Moreover, the Freya Familia currently remains divided over siding with either Freya or Syr, a subtle element that showcases the significance of Syr within the familia. Coupled with the fact that Syr is tied down by her goddesshood, the likelihood of her being a vestige of Freya has become all the more concrete.
