This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shinjuku Showdown Arc.

Summary

The Shrine, also known as Mizushi, is one of the strongest cursed techniques that fans have seen inJJK. This technique belongs tonone other than Ryomen Sukuna, the King of Curses. Fans know this technique to be powerful enough to slice and dice just about everything in its path. The Shrine is more complicated than it looks. It is essentially a kitchen for the user to utilize, where they can use sharp knives to Dismantle targets in one fell swoop, and Cleave to rip apart their enemies upon contact, with its strength and cutting ability depending on the amount of cursed energy utilized.

The Shrine also gives the user access to a Furnace, where they can cook their opponents with thermobaric explosions. Clearly, the Shrine is a powerful ability, and it certainly has more than one user inJJK.

4Ryomen Sukuna

The King Of Curses

The best user of Shrine that fans have seen inJJKis, quite easily, Sukuna.Sukuna was the original user of the Shrine, and fans saw him utilize this technique on many occasions. Sukuna can chop down his enemies with a Dismantle or utilize Cleave to cut his enemies according to their toughness and the cursed energy applied.

Sakuna can even access Divine Flames after utilizing both Cleave and Dismantle, and incinerate his targets to death. His Domain Expansion, called Malevolent Shrine, is the pinnacle of his technique and it can rip to shreds all of his enemies. Clearly, there is hardly anyone in the world of JJK who can withstand his powerful blows. Even if they do, Sukuna’s strongest ability, that is, the World Cutting Dismantle, is incredibly difficult for anyone to survive.

3Yuji Itadori

Sukuna’s Original Vessel

Yuji Itadori is yet another powerful user of the Shrine cursed technique. Having been Sukuna’s vessel for a long time, Yuji was able to use the Shrine. In fact, Sukuna used the Shrine multiple times in Yuji’s body. If that wasn’t enough, Yuji himself ended up awakening the Shrine in the Shinjuku Showdown arc. His version of Shrine was somewhat different and safer than that of Sukuna, and fans saw him utilize it effortlessly.

Yuji was able to combine the power of his cutting abilities, such as Dismantle, with his soul-damaging blows. Essentially, Yuji was able to launch Dismantle and Cleave at his opponent’s souls, which made him incredibly dangerous. Fans also saw Yuji manifest a powerful Domain Expansion of the Shrine cursed technique. His sure-hit attack inside the domain was a powerful Soul Dismantle, which even dealt terrific damage to yeoman Sukuna, the King of Curses. Yuji is a majestic user of the Shine and certainly the strongest one alive at the end of the story.

2Yuta Okkotsu

A Prodigy Sorcerer With The Copy Cursed Ability

Unbeknownst to a lot of people,Yuta is also a powerful user of the Shrine cursed technique. Yuta gained access to Shrine in the Shinjuku Showdown arc. After consuming Yuji’s finger, Yuta used Cleave, which allowed him to cut down Sukuna with a powerful bunch of slashes. This happened inside his own domain expansion, where he could use his copied techniques as many times as he wanted, provided he picked the right sword up.

Undoubtedly, Yuta was a skilled user of the Shrine, but his skillcan hardly be compared to Sukuna, or even that of Yuji. Whether Yuta could utilize stronger techniques, such as Dismantle, the World Splitting Dismantle, or abilities such as Divine Flame remains to be seen. But, at the very least, fans know that Yuta could access this powerful technique at least for as long as Yuji did not heal his finger. It remains unknown whether Yuta can still utilize this technique inside his domain at the very least, or if he has now lost access to it since Yuji has most certainly healed his finger.

1Megumi Fushiguro

Sukuna’s Second Vessel

Megumi Fushiguro is another character with access to the Shrine, although likely only for a limited time. Of course, this access comes from Sukuna having been inside Megumi’s body. Once Sukuna suppressed Megum, he utilized Shrine through him. In fact, the World Cutting Dismantle was invented in Megumi’s body. Despite Megumi not controlling his body, it can, in one way, be seen as him utilizing the Shrine.

After the death of the King of Curses, Megumi was free, which means that he couldn’t use the Shrine anymore. But, it remains to be seen whether he can actually gain access to Shrine similar to how Yuji did. Megumi saw Shrine being used and his body more extensively than Yuji ever did. If Yuji could have learned this technique by having Sukuna inside his body, perhaps Megumi could as well. Regardless, fans know that at the very least, Megumi used Shrine for as long as Sukuna was controlling his body.
