This article contains spoilers from Jujutsu Kaisen’s Shinjuku Showdown Arc.
Jujutsu Kaisenis an incredibly popular manga that is currently edging closer to its end, with just a few chapters remaining. As the story started to wrap up, a new popularity was conducted in Japan, and it certainly felt like a good idea to ascertain how fans felt about all the characters.
The various character arcs in the story have progressed greatly, and with that, some characters have consolidated their spots as favorites, while others have lost favor. Here are the 10 most popularJJKcharacters based on the 4th popularity poll.
10Toji Fushiguro
The Sorcerer Killer
Toji Fushiguro is definitely one of the most popular characters and a well-liked antagonist in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. In the current timeline of Jujutsu Kaisen, Toji, Megumi’s father, is already dead. He was the antagonist during Gojo’s Past arc.
Like Maki, he has no cursed energy. That doesn’t however stop him from being insanely powerful, as he almost killed Gojo before his eventual defeat. Toji was even brought back during Shibuya before killing himself upon seeing his son, Megumi. Despite how long ago he was relevant in the story, 10th place is not bad at all.
9Sukuna
The King Of Curses
Sukuna is the most powerful sorcerer to have ever lived, and was the main villain in Jujutsu Kaisen. Sukuna is known as the King of Curses, and for good reason. His power was so incredible it took the majority of the cast to finally take him down.
Despite being the main villain, Sukuna only ends up in 9th place, a position that feels quite low for a character as important and relevant as him. Sukuna seems to not be that well-liked, and with his death, it’s unlikely fans will grow to like him anymore.
8Nanami
A Grade One Sorcerer
Nanami is a character who lost his life against Mahito during the events of Shibuya. Before that, however, he played an important mentor role to Yuji and was, overall, a very well-liked character among the fans.
He ended up in 8th place, a well-deserved spot for a good character who died a few arcs ago.
7Yuta Okkotsu
A Sorcerer Second Only to Gojo
Yuta, the protagonist of JJK 0, makes it into the 7th place of the poll, a spot that might actually seem quite low for the major role he has played in the story, especially against Sukuna.
Yuta was easily one of the major fighters that helped take down the King of Curses, Sukuna, and his ability is definitely one of the best in the show.
6Choso
The Strongest Death Painting
Choso ends up in 6th place, a pretty high position. Despite that, there is a staggering gap between him and the 5th place.
Choso is a widely beloved character inJJKas he is Yuji’s brother and plays an interesting role in some parts of the story. Specifically, Choso’s sacrifice to protect Yuji might have touched many fans.
5Naoya Zenin
The Zenin Prodigy
Naoya Zenin is the oddest character on this list. Naoya is a character who gets defeated by Maki Zenin and dies before the Culling Game. He returns as a vengeful spirit, and is exorcized by Maki again. Despite that, Japanese readers of JJK seem to have taken a liking to this quite unlikable character.
In fact, Naoya had almost double the votes of Choso, who ended up in 6th place. His high ranking in JJK polls is nothing new, and something that keeps puzzling JJK readers, especially when Maki is nowhere in the top 10.
4Suguru Geto
Gojo’s Best Friend
Suguru Geto is a fan-favorite characterdespite being dead for most of the story and only being seen alive in the arc that covers Gojo’s past, as well asJJK 0, where he plays the role of the main villain.
Suguru was definitely one of the more interesting characters the show had to offer, especially due to his relationship with Gojo and his ideals. He won a good 4th spot, making him the most popular antagonist in the JJK story.
3Megumi Fushiguro
One Of The Main Characters
Megumi Fushiguro is a character who maintains a lot of popularity despite being absent from a significant portion of the final arc in the story. Megumi’s body was taken over by Sukuna and did not partake in any fighting against Sukuna after that.
Megumi has always been a very liked character, winning a few of the previous popularity polls. Megumi’s character was never used to its full potential, which is quite a waste and disappointment to his fans.
2Yuji Itadori
The Protagonist Of JJK
Ending in second place, the main character of the series,Yuji, gains in popularity among fans. Yuji was ahead by quite a bit compared to the third-placed character, Megumi, having about 20,000 more votes. This is the first time since the first JJK popularity poll that Yuji beats Megumi.
Perhaps, this is due to his involvement in the final arc, where he is a heavy hitter against Sukuna, as well as Megumi’s absence from the story.
1Gojo Satoru
The Strongest Modern Sorcerer
Unsurprisingly, the one who took the top spot in this popularity poll wasnone other than Gojo Satoru, a man so powerful he almost managed to take down Sukuna by himself.
Gojo is the strongest modern sorcerer and has stolen the hearts of many fans with his incredible power and charming personality. He wins by a landslide, having over double Yuji’s votes. His death has definitely hit fans the hardest, with readers still hoping for his comeback.
