Summary
Kaiju No. 8takes place on Earth, where humanity must wage an uninterrupted war against gigantic, perilous creatures called kaiju. Japan’s Defense Force uses them for everything: from the remains of defeated kaiju to turning their extraordinary powers into combat tools.
That is an interesting twist, building up more reasons to get excited about the series, since it will be these kaiju-based arms that help humanity stand a chance against their monstrous enemies. The Early Look and Powers
It was a big flying monster that had a flat face containing three eyes with sharp teeth. The body was elongated and resembled the body of a centipede. It had a number of bug-like wings attached to its back, too. Kaiju No. 4 first appears as a powerful threat with the best flying abilities, having a number of wings which make it one of the fastest kaiju. The wings grant it incredible speed and agility, making it very difficult to be hit by the Japan Defense Force. Theaerial capabilities of Kaiju No. 4are second to none; thus, it causes immense problems in its early appearances as the struggling defense force tries to keep up with it moving fast across the sky.
Aside from its speed, Kaiju No. 4 holds immense power of destruction. This monster can execute an attack from above with such ferocity that it is hard for the defense forces to bear the velocity with which it strikes and retreats in an equally fast manner. The combination of speed and power in Kaiju No. 4 gives the heroes of the series an unprecedented challenge because, through its exhibition of agility, this monster was able to outmaneuver opponents before landing lethal blows.
What Makes Kaiju No. 4 Different from Other Kaiju
A Unique Aerial Threat and Armament
Where the overall kaiju of the series would basically relish in brute force and size, Kaiju No. 4 is facilitated with an uncanny power of speed and aerial abilities. While most kaiju simply overpower their opponents through strength alone, Kaiju No. 4’s approach to wearing out opponents is more tactical: it leverages flying abilities at high velocities, attacking from angles and distances no one else can. This makes the strategic advantage enjoyed by the weaponized version of Kaiju No. 4 a uniquely effective combatant. Speed and agility define it in life; today, those attributes have translated to give the defense force an uncommon tactical edge. Skilled officers in the defense force can maintain its aerial superiority in allowing swift strikes and evasive maneuvers in the most able hands of the weaponized Kaiju No. 4.
Its unprecedented velocity makes it useful against more land-based kaiju and thus provides the defense force with an advantage in battles that require maneuverability and quick thinking. Numbers Weapon 4 was originally worn by Hikari Shinomiya; however, Naoya Matsumoto thought itwould fall to Kikoru Shinomiya, and it was thus made in a way to suit both of them. Since Hikari has the image of a valkyrie, it has a noble appearance with a loincloth as an accent. It would appear that Kaiju No. 4 was something more than just another enemy in the story. A huge flying kaiju presented a completely new level of challenge for the defense force, really showcasing just how much higher the threat level of kaiju in the series would be.
The Fate of Kaiju No. 4 After Death
With the defeat of Kaiju No. 4, its body had been used to craft a highly specialized suit. The most interesting aspect in regard to Kaiju No. 4 is its weaponized form, which gives the user an enormous increase in speed with the use of wings originally possessed by it in its kaiju form. These wings give him the ability to fly at speeds higher than the speed of sound, making this suit one of the fastest—even hard to trace for a human eye during flight.
Kikoru Shinomiya, being the Defense Force officer, was the one who had merited the right to use Kaiju No. 4. She gave a full show of the power that was enclosed in this weaponized form as she moved over great distances almost in the blink of an eye in “Chapter 72"ofKaiju No. 8’smanga. She taps into the suit for its speed, breaking multiple sound barriers and takedowns of kaiju threats in a fraction of a second. This large agility in her weapon makes it crucial for combating other kaiju, since with it Kikoru will be able to outmaneuver and strike with sudden speed—a vital ability in protecting humanity against attacks on a large scale.
Since the weapon was both fast and powerful, Kaiju No. 4 was indeed one of the most importantweapons that the Defense Forcecould make full use of in certain critical confrontations, either against an airborne or a fast-moving kaiju.
