This time he will be working alongside MAPPA, on a new project called Lazarus. The anime is set to be released in 2025.MAPPA hasn’t disclosed anexact release date, but odds are that Lazarus will come out in summer or fall 2025. The main reason for the late release is Zenshu, another MAPPA project that will be airing in January 2025. Naturally, the studio wouldn’t want two projects so close to each other.

The studio has been responsible for producing some of the best anime in the last decade. Some of its most notable works includeVinland Saga, Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kakegurui, and Chainsaw Man.
The Confirmed Cast For Lazarus
The voice actors for Lazarus have already been confirmed.
Lazarus anime will have a total of 13 episodes, making it rather short. The anime was announced in July 2023. The initial release was planned for 2024, but it had to be pushed back due to production delays.
Lazarus is set in the year 2055 and focuses on Dr. Skinner, a scientist who claims to have discovered a miracle drug. However, it is later revealed to kill anyone who consumed it. So, a squad is formed to track down Skinner and obtain the vaccine known as Lazarus.
