Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Should Feature Infinite Wealth’s Sujimon Battles

Although theSujimon concept first appeared inYakuza: Like a Dragon, it was developed into a full-blown battle mode inLike a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Players could recruit new Sujimon from around the Hawaiian map to battle for them and take on the Sujimon League in an optional but expansive side story. With how robust the mechanics for Sujimon recruiting and battling are, it would be a shame for the mode to be left out ofLike a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, especially since other major activities fromInfinite Wealthappear to be returning.

Every Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii Mini-Game Confirmed So Far

Some of the best mini-games from the past fewLike a Dragongames have already been confirmed to be included inPirate Yakuza in Hawaii.Crazy Delivery fromInfinite Wealthand Dragon Kart fromYakuza: Like a Dragonare both great additions that were previously exclusive to protagonist Ichiban Kasuga. The series' staple karaoke mini-game is also returning alongside the brand-new mini-game “Masaru’s Love Journey - My Dream Minato Girl -” which remains shrouded in mystery, but there is room for other new and classic side activities to be featured as well.

Majima is the Perfect Protagonist to Expand the Sujimon Mini-Game

Historically, only Ichiban has been able to participate in Sujimon-related activities, like completing the Sujidex inYakuza: Like a Dragonor becoming champion of the Sujimon League inInfinite Wealth. Part of this exclusivity could be attributed to the more wacky nature ofIchiban as a protagonist compared to Kiryu, but he’s not the only protagonist to have a silly side. Majima is beloved for the goofy antics of his Mad Dog persona, so collecting and battling Sujimon would be a natural fit for the character.

After Ichiban defeats the Sujimon League inInfinite Wealth, the current leadership disbands, and the Discreet Four vow to rebuild the league, potentially creating the perfect premise for Majima to become a new challenger.

With the way the Sujimon storyline has evolved betweenYakuza: Like a DragonandInfinite Wealth, it seems like taking it a step further inPirate Yakuza in Hawaiiwould be the logical progression. The game already looks to feature a mechanic that allowsMajima to assemble his pirate crewand take to the seas for naval combat, but his time on land could end up being spent training and battling new Sujimon.
