Bounties are an easy way for players to earnlarge sums of Reeveand also fight unique and difficult bosses inMetaphor: ReFantazio. While bounties are completely optional, they are great ways for players to level up during free time, as they usually bring a new dungeon to be explored.
The first few bounties in the game are fairly straightforward, but Valmo is where things start the change up, as this is actually two bosses at once. While their attack pattern and stats are the same, this boss is just as much of a puzzle as it is a fight.
How To Prepare For Valmo In Metaphor: ReFantazio
Valmo will constantly causeParalysison your party, so it’s important to have an Archetype that knows Patra orhave lots of Vitamin Relaxants. The Healer can also be useful, as Rakunda will help for the times one of the Valmo lowers the agility of the entire party, which will sometimes be used multiple times, and the effect will stack.
On your main healer or as many party members as possible, wear gear or accessories that negate or lower the chances of paralysis. Be sure to go into this fightwith full MP, as you’ll need to cast a lot of spells.
How To Beat Valmo In Metaphor: ReFantazio
Both Valmo need to be killed in the same turn;otherwise, a new one will spawn with full health. They both have a weakness to ice.
The key to this fight is perfect timing when you kill both Valmo. It doesn’t matter how you choose to whittle them down, just as long as they die during the same turn. Because of that requirement, it’s important to keep the whole party up and free from any status ailments, as you’ll need as many press turn icons as possible to kill both during that final turn.
Depending on the Archetypes you have access to, theMage can use the Synthesis attack Gablizz, which will hit both enemies at once. It’s also useful to buff your Mage’s damage a few times before that last turn, as doing too much damage is much better than not enough and a new one spawning. Should a new one be summoned, you may want to restart the battle to also get your own party back to full HP and MP.
Both Valmo won’t do much damage on their own between their bite and fire breath. You should look out for thesandstorm and undo the effects of that debuff right away, asevery Press Turn iconmatters during this fight. Prioritize using ice attacks as often as possible to maximize your attacks, but make sure you are only getting the Valmo low and not trying to finish them off. It’s best to get them fairly low but wait until a new turn before trying to finish them off so that you have as many Press Turn icons as needed.
