While not an overly large update in general, version 1.04 primarily targets adjustments to the Camera Shake Off feature, toning it down to not be quite as intense as it once was. The patch also made an adjustment toNew Game Plus inMetaphor: ReFantazio, where some players wouldn’t see their start save data generated correctly under certain conditions. Unfortunately, no additional details were provided, but for those who have already completed the lengthy journey, there is less risk of something not working when attempting to start up a new game with the previous save data.

While the PC version of this update is technically considered version 1.3, the patch largely contains the same fixes as its console counterpart. However, it also makes some adjustments to thePC settings ofMetaphor: ReFantazioby adding an anti-aliasing feature which can be adjusted manually from the Graphic Settings under the game options. Interestingly enough, Atlus also warns PC players that after downloading this update, the master volume will be louder than previously, advising to turn down the computer volume prior to starting the game just in case. According to some players, the volume change was noticeable, so players should be advised to lower the volume first and then adjust once the game is running.

Even with many of the core issues and complaints from players now resolved, someMetaphor ReFantazioplayers have been turning to PC Modsto further enhance the experience. Specifically, one mod called “Metaphor: ReFantazio Fix” makes a dozen of smaller but no less important fixes to the game including adding ultrawide monitor support, removing the 60fps frame rate cap, an automatic intro cinematic skip, and more.
