Minecraft:Bedrock Edition’s latest update has added new content to The Pale Garden, the recently announced biome currently available toMinecraftPreview players. A mysterious area of ghostly, shadowed forests lurking under an ashen sky, The Pale Garden promises a uniquely hauntingMinecraftexperience.
As Halloween fast approaches,Minecraft: Bedrock Editionplayers have recently enjoyed a wealth of creepy new content in the run-up to the spooky season. After beingmistakenly leaked ahead of theMinecraftLIVE 2024event, the “Bundles of Bravery” update was released on October 22, bringing new items and a high-stakes hardcore survival mode toBedrock EditionandJava Editionrealms. Earlier in October, Mojang Studios also unveiledMinecraft’smajor upcoming content drop, allowing players to preview The Pale Garden, a haunting new overworld biome protected by a petrifying new enemy, The Creaking.
With its eerie, gothic color palette of ghostly trees and faded skies, The Pale Garden offers a uniqueMinecraftexperience. While not one ofMinecraft’s strongest monstersoutright, the ent-like Creaking offers experienced fans a welcome new challenge. Invincible until players find and destroy its Creaking Heart, a “living block” hidden among the woodlands, the Creaking remains stationary while in the player’s field of view, ready to pounce once their back is turned. Mojang has just expanded this new biome withMinecraftPreview 1.21.50.25, which brings two major additional features in the form of Resin and the new flower Eyeblossom.
By day, the Eyeblossom’s bud will remain closed, but during the night these unearthly flowers open their glowing orange eyes, poisoning any bees or players unfortunate enough to ingest them. Resin is a new block dropped after the destruction of a Creaking Heart, which can be crafted into a Block of Resin and used to trim armor. It can also be hardened in a furnace to craft Resin Bricks, used to create Resin Stairs, Walls, Slabs, and Brick Blocks required to construct bright player-made structures that starkly stand out againstThe Pale Garden’s sea of grays. The Creaking mobs have also been made more formidable, as the aggravated monsters will now deal more attack damage and move with increased speed.
The new update also promises to fix many minor bugs and bring many textures in line with theirJava Editioncounterparts. Hopefully, this will allow for the smoothest, spookiest experience possible as players explore all thesecrets of the haunting Pale Gardenthis Halloween.MinecraftPreviewplayers can Beta test the new content now, although Mojang has not yet revealed when fans can expect to see The Pale Garden in the base game.
