MultiVersushas unveiled the first gameplay trailer for Nubia, who will debut on October 15. Since returning from hiatus earlier this year,MultiVersusdevs have been working to add exciting content to the game, such as events, stages, and new fighters. Each season the roster has gradually expanded, with new characters from Warner Bros. properties joining the fray.
In the first season, players saw the addition of no less than four characters, with thesurprising announcement of Banana Guard fromAdventure Time, jumping into the fight along with the Joker, Agent Smith, and Jason Voorhees. After that, Season 2 was more modest in terms of new characters with only two additions, marking the debuts of a new Assassin (Beetlejuice) and Bruiser (Samurai Jack). Now, the thirdMultiVersusseason is preparing to welcome a new fighter, giving details of her debut.
MultiVersusshared the first look at the gameplay for Nubia, the next character to be added on October 15. A new representative of theAssassin class, the current Queen of the Amazons can be purchased for $9.99 USD, 1,250 Gleamium, or one character ticket (Founder’s Pack item). She will also be available through the Future Queen: Nubia’s Strength Pack for $29.99 USD, which includes an additional skin, announcer pack, taunt, and two badges. From October 18, all players will be able to unlock her for 6,000 Fighter Currency. Players can read a variety of comics on DC Universe Infinite and learn more about the DC ComicsWonder Woman-debuting character who became the new queen of Themyscira, and later, of the Amazons, after Hippolyta abdicated the throne.
MultiVersus Reveals Release Date and Details About New Character Nubia
Along with the release date and details about the secondMultiVersus’Amazon character, Nubia’s abilities have been revealed. Royal Step makes her launch energy blasts that knock back enemies and cleanse allies. Using Strike of Understanding, she launches an attack with her spear, shattering her opponents' armor. With the Pull of Charybids, she grabs an enemy with her spear and throws them away. In addition to Nubia’s debut, the devs revealed that the “Destroyed” version of the City of Townsville map will be available from October 15.
Following Nubia’s debut, theMultiVersusroster will officially have 31 playable characters divided between the game’s classes. The fighter comes after the anticipated debut of the Powerpuff Girls, another addition to the third season aptly named Sugar, Spice and Everything Nice. After the Queen of the Amazons, players wait to find out what the devs' next announcements will be, thoughpreviousMultiVersusleakshave teased the potential addition of many characters beloved by the public, among them Fred Flintstone, the Animaniacs, Raven, and Johnny Bravo.
