Quick Links
My Hero Academiaconcluded quite some time ago, and fans were mostly satisfied with its conclusion. It’s safe to say that out of the many manga that concluded this year,My Hero Academiaproved to be the better one with an exciting ending, to say the least.
Of course, the ending wasn’t perfect in any way, but it satisfied the fans in most departments. My Hero Academia saw the world change tremendously at the end. For the Heroes, things were very different after the war as a new generation started to take charge. Given that All Might and Endeavor were both out of commission, the one who claimed the spot of the Number One Hero was none other than Mirio Togata. While Mirio maintains a very strong hold over the Number One Hero spot, fans know that he will be challenged in the future by many powerful Heroes and that makes for an exciting competition.
The Current Number One Hero In My Hero Academia
Currently, the Number One Hero in the world ofMy Hero Academiais none other than Mirio. Fans know him to be an incredibly powerful individual whose strength is mesmerizing. In fact, even when Mirio was just a student, it was said that he was the Hero closest to All Might in terms of power, and that set great expectations for him for the future ofMy Hero Academia.
Even among the Pro Heroes, he’s the one closest to All Might! – Aizawa
Unfortunately, Mirio had lost his Quirk for quite a significant portion of the story. While he did get it back, fans did not see him get as much attention as they would have liked. But, at the very least, it was clearly implied in the story that Mirio was tremendously powerful and that he would continue to grow at this rate. Once Mirio successfully graduated, he managed to get even stronger. He slowly rose through the ranks and eventually claimed the top spot as the Number One Hero, around 8 years later. By this time, Mirio has likely become an incredibly powerful force and one that can actually hold the mantle of the Symbol of Peace. Of course, given that All For One doesn’t exist anymore, maintaining peace in this era is going to be much easier, but for Mirio, this job is still equally important and he most certainly does it responsibly.
As far as Mirio’s strength goes, fans know that his Permeation Quirk has likely been taken to the next levelfollowing the conclusion of the war. In fact, it is also possible that Mirio might have achieved Quirk Awakening, in which case, he would have grown even further in terms of strength. He also possesses superhuman physical attributes, which makes him even stronger over the years. It is safe to say that if Mirio has held on to the position of Number One despite competing with the likes of Bakugo and Todoroki, who reached incredibly high levels in the final war of My Hero Academia, he must possess monstrous strength.
The Contenders For The Top Spot
Bakugo and Todoroki Are The Top Contenders For The Position Of Number 1 Hero
Of course,Mirio Togata was always going to be a massive favorite for the sport of the Number One Hero. Right from the very beginning, fans knew that he was going to be a revelation once he did go on to become a Pro-Hero. That is precisely what happened and he claimed the spot of the Top Hero. But, there are other powerful Pro Heroes who are going to rival him for this position, without a doubt. Currently, Mirio Togata is competing with the likes of Bakugo and Todoroki, and they are certainly in contention for the position of the Top Hero.
Shoto and Bakugo are competing for the top spots with Togata-senpai!
Of course, Bakugo and Todoroki are not even the Number Two or Three Heroes right now, as there has been no implication of that. But, given that they haven’t been Pro Heroes for that long, fans know for a fact that they are inching closer to him and will go head-to-head with him soon enough.
Both Bakugo and Todoroki are incredibly powerful, and their power levels are about equal. In fact, it was projected that Todoroki would soon surpass Bakugo because of his better character, which just goes to show that in terms of strength, they are neck and neck. Fans know that Bakugo reached incredibly high levels of power in the Final War arc ofMy Hero Academia, where he defeated All For Onedespite being in an injured state. His Quirk Awakening was fully realized at this point, and Bakugo essentially managed to defeat the greatest of all evils despite being on his last legs. This was a magnificent feat for him, and something that helped him grow even further.
As for Shoto, fans know that he too achieved the next level of strength in the Final War. Not only did he fight and overwhelm Dabi in combat, but he showed great resilience as well. Achieving the power of Phosphor, Shoto peaked to a point where even Endeavor couldn’t compete against him, and that certainly goes to say a lot about him.
Both Shoto and Bakugo are magnificent fighters who will continue to grow as time goes by, and if My Hero Academia ever does get a sequel in the form of a movie or a one-shot, fans will most definitely see them on a completely different level of strength.
Can Deku Become The Future Number One Hero?
Deku Has A Shout For Being The Number 1 Hero
While Shoto and Bakugo are both contenders for the possession of Number One Hero, there is also the case of Deku to consider. WhileDeku ended up losing his One For Allin the Final War of My Hero Academia, fans know that that wasn’t the end of his journey as a Hero. In the 8 years following the conclusion of the war, science had grown tremendously, and this meant technological advancements were made with great strides. At the same time, it was clearly implied in the story that more attention was being paid to Hero Equipment these days than just Quirk power.
This meant that the world had changed tremendously, and Hero Equipment was just as important as Quirks. This is where it was made clear to the fans that Deku was going to be back in the game soon. Simply put, Deku now utilized an armor, similar to the one that All Might wore, only this one was much more powerful and advanced, as technology itself had come far in these 8 years.
Deku’s armor was absurdly expensive, and all of Deku’s friends slowly chipped in together to make it a reality. This armor likely emulates all the Quirksthat he was able to wield with the One For All, and is going to put him on a similar level of strength that he held previously. Essentially, this would automatically make Deku a contender for the spot of the Number One Hero.
Mirio cannot maintain his strength forever, and even if he does stay at the top, that doesn’t mean he will go unchallenged. Now that Deku has become a Hero again, he will go on to battle against Mirio for the top spot and if he truly does hold the same level of strength that fans knew him to possess at the end of the war, then it can be said that he will take Mirio’s position as the Top Hero in My Hero Academia before even Bakugo and Shoto.
My Hero Academia is available to read via Viz Media. The series can be read by the fans officially and for free on the Shonen Jump and theManga Plusapp.
