While some fans will be happy to join the World that they are assigned by default, some players will want to make sure that they create their characters on Fresh Start or console-only servers. New World: Aeternum - How to Join a Fresh Start Server
Players who want to join a Fresh Start server should begin by selecting “Create Character” in the bottom-left corner of the Main Menu. After confirming that they indeed want to make a new character, fans will be treated to a cinematic sequence. When that sequence comes to a close, the player must select their desiredNew World: AeternumArchetype, adjust their character’s appearance, and set their name.
After completing those steps, players will find themselves in the World-selection portion of character creation, and they will see that a server has already been selected for them. The name of that server is listed immediately after “Entering” on the right side of the screen, and ayellow sun iconshould appear next to the World name. That sun icon indicates that the selected World is a Fresh Start server, andMMORPGfans can press “Continue” to establish their character there.
If the server that appears after “Entering” does not have a yellow sun icon next to it, then the player should select"Change World.“This action will cause a list of servers to appear, and fans can simply select one that is marked with a sun icon and then click “Select World” in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
New World: Aeternum - How to Join a Console-Only Server
Players who want to join a console-only server should begin by clicking thegear iconin the top-right corner of the Main Menu. Fans should then click “Settings” in the menu that appears and navigate to theSocial tab. There is a section that focuses on cross-play at the bottom of the Social Settings, and players should set"enable cross-platform play” to off.
Once that setting has been adjusted, players can return to the Main Menu and select"Create Character"in the bottom-left corner of the screen. Fans should then watch the intro cinematic and set their character’s Archetype, appearance, and name. Players will then have the opportunity to choose a World to join, and the only servers that will be available are exclusively forNew World: Aeternumon console.
