Following the release of update 1.1.0 on October 21,theNew Worlddevelopersconfirmed on Twitter an investigation into elevated user reports of game crashes is underway. This update introduced the Nightveil Hallow event and implemented bug fixes that would remedy rendering issues and in-game crashes during certain instances, but it was clear that there were still more issues to address. For example, some users on Twitter are still reporting crashes on loading screens after installing update 1.1.0, while others have noticed crashes while trying to enter a dungeon or advance story sequences. These issues appear to affect both the console and PC versions ofNew World.

The overall response from the community appears to be mixed so far, since plenty of players have their own feedback to share aboutNew World’stechnical issues aside from crashes. Many of these issues, including bugged animations and missing reward drops, were present inNew World’sopen beta phase, leading some players to voice their dissatisfaction withNew Worldand the October 21 update. Nightveil Hallow also appears to be affected, as a few players on Twitter note that they’re unable to start event quests or claim rewards for completing activities.
It’s unclear when a new update will be released, butNew Worldplayers who are able to progress inthe Nightveil Hallow eventhave until November 5 to complete activities and claim their Halloween-themed rewards. Players may challenge Baalphazu, the level 66 world boss, to obtain armor pieces, costumes, and Ichor every day during the event. Nightveil Tokens that are earned from Nightveil Hallow may also be used in the limited-time event shop to obtain skins, emotes, furniture items, and much more.
