Unfortunately for those fans, they may have to wait a little longer to see Nintendo’s next console first-hand because the unveiling of the Switch 2 has reportedly been delayed, according to a new rumor.
Rumors Allege that the Nintendo Switch 2 Reveal Has Been Delayed
The Nintendo Switch 2 Was Apparently Going to be Announced This Week
The hosts of Un Cafe Con Nintendo, a Spanish-language Nintendo podcast, recently alleged thatNintendo had postponed the formal unveiling of its next consoleto an unspecified date. Based on what their sources had supposedly told them, the Japanese platform holder was initially planning to announce the Switch 2 sometime from October 8th to the 11th. However, these plans have apparently changed and, as a result, the console may not be revealed in the immediate future.
Un Cafe Con Nintendo Has Been Wrong About Switch 2 Information in the Past
It’s important to note that, back in early September, Un Cafe Con Nintendo also claimed that Nintendo had “told its ‘soldiers’ to get ready for a big event,” one that was allegedly Switch 2-related. At the time, the hosts of the podcast were very confident that the unannounced console would be unveiled in the coming weeks. Speaking on this discrepancy, Future31, the Redditor that first broke the news about Un Cafe Con Nintendo’s claims, suggested that the podcast’s recent report on a Switch 2 announcement delay could have been a retraction of their previous rumor. Future31 also propounded that, if Nintendo did actually postpone the unveiling of its next console, the firm might have done so in order to prioritize its marketing efforts onupcoming 2024 games, likeMario and Luigi: Brothership,Mario Party Jamboree, andDragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake.
The Switch 2 Should Still Be On Track for a Reveal Before March 2025
