Game progression is important, as it’s the main driving force behind the player base for investing time into the game. Usually, after gaining XP in games and gaining more levels, players can unlock certain perks or weapons in the game. But, is there a progression system in place forNo More Room in Hell 2?
Is There A Progression System in No More Room in Hell 2?
Yes, there is a progression system implemented inNo More Room in Hell 2which letsplayers gain 2 kinds of experience points (XP)after completing a match. There are two different kinds of XP in the game:
Character XP
As indicated by the name, thecharacter XPis tied to the current character that you’re using to queue for matches. Players gain character XP by collecting supplies, completing both optional and main objectives, andextracting safely.
Accumulating character XP is the main way to level up a character, whichunlocks new skillsinNo More Room in Hell 2. For every 5 levels, a new skill slot is unlocked. The game allows players to equip 1 of 3 skills per slot. The combination of skills equipped on your character will make it more effective for different situations, i.e. a marksman, a melee fighter, or a jack-of-all-trades.
However, if your character dies in a match, all the character levels, XP, and skills will be lost. You’ll need to scratch from the start with another character. This is where account XP comes into play.
Account XP
The second type of experience point,account XP, is permanent and isn’t lost with your character. Your overall level increases (displayed in the top-right corner of the screen) with every match you play. However,there isn’t a weapon unlock system, or an achievement system tied to the account XP yet.
Since the game is in early access, there are stillseveral features and systems yet to be implementedin terms of progression inNo More Room in Hell 2. In the future, players may be able to gain new weapons, new types of responders, or even new maps unlocked after reaching a certain account XP. But for now, it doesn’t give you anything.
