It is going to adapt content from a novel calledOne Piece Novel: Straw Hat Stories. The project is set to release on July 21, 2025, and it will be directed by Megumi Ishitani, who has become a well-known name within the industry.

Different Stories Will Be Featured In The Adaptation
Monkey D. Luffy’s story will be presented through the lens of a Marine soldier. It will present his perspective as he witnesses Luffy going to great lengths to rescue his brother Ace from certain death. This makes the Marine question his own relationship with his brother, who is also involved in the Summit War.
Zoro’s story is rather humorous as it sees him enter a bar in Dressrosa where he gets involved in a debate with some Marine soldiersabout the strongest swordsman inthe world. They discuss who is the strongest among Mihawk, Shanks, Ryuma, Vista, and Zoro. Oddly enough, the Marines are unaware of Zoro’s actual identity.
Nami’s story will tug at the hearts of the viewers as it will offer a glimpse into the life of a young girl from the Sabaody Archipelago who is obsessed with female pirates. When she hearsabout the Straw Hat Pirates’reunion, she tries to find a way to see Nami.
In Franky’s case, the adaptation will focus on a girl who moves to Water 7 and starts managing a bookstore. Every day, she hears different stories about Franky from locals, which increases her curiosity.

Not only are the stories interesting, but they offer a different experience than the manga and the anime.
