One Piece’s Big Hiatus Announced By Oda
One Pieceis now confirmed to go on a short hiatus. This might come as a surprise to the fans, but Oda has decided to take 2 weeks offOne Piece, which means that the next chapter will be available in 3 weeks' time. Usually, Oda takes a break after every 3 or so chapters. This time around, Oda stuck to the schedule as well. Although, where the average break is for one week, this time, Oda is taking a break for 2 weeks. It was announced after the official release ofOne Piecechapter 1130 that Oda has decided to take a short hiatus. The reason for this hiatus was announced later to be theOne Piece Live Action series. As things stand, Oda’s involvement in theOne Piece Live Actionseries is still great. He recently visited South Africa as well, and it is because of this involvement of his that this break has come.
According to the message, Oda’s brainstorming about ideas pertaining toOne Piece Live Actionseason 2 and taking an active part in planning the future of the story there. All this has taken his time from the main story and essentially led to the upcoming 2-week break. This is certainly disappointing for many fans, but it also reassures quite a lot of those who love the One Piece Live Action series. It is clear that Oda’s involvement in the project is certainly there and that he is trying his best to guide those working on it as much as possible.

It was announced following the release of last week’s chapter that One Piece chapter 1131 will be released in 3 weeks' time. This essentially means that One Piece chapter 1131 will be released on November 11th, 2024. The 3-week wait is going to be excruciatingly long for the fans, and this is true even more sobecause there is no Egghead anime for them to watch either. One Piece anime also decided to go on a hiatus around the same time for about 6 months and is said to return in April 2025. Although the Fishman Island re-edition was supposed to start airing from next week, now, it has been announced that there is not going to be anyOne Pieceanime in the following week, which means that fans will be withoutOne Pieceentirely for about 2 weeks.

That said, there are some exciting projects that Oda has announced that they need to look forward to. The first project is pertaining toOne Piece Live Action, where Oda will reveal information about the second season of this wildly popular live-action adaptation. As to what Oda will reveal, fans do not know as of yet. But, it can be said that things are looking good in the live action department, at the very least.
In the following week, which is June 12, 2025, Oda will reveal a lot of exciting information about the One Piece manga. According to the information that is available right now, Oda plans to do an event where he will answer 10 questions aboutOne Piece, likely pertaining to where the story is headed and possibly even some general questions. Fans don’t know who picks these questions and how much information Oda is willing to reveal through them. But, at the very least, a question-answer event sounds incredibly exciting for all readers.
With these two major projects up ahead, the waiting period forOne Piecechapter 1131 is sure to be easier. Fans can rest assured that Oda will return with a fantastic chapter when he does, especially because of where Elbaf is right now. Things can’t possibly get better in theOne Piecemanga, and, right now,the Elbaf Arc will only keep getting better with each passing chapter.

WhileOne Pieceis on break right now, fans are eagerly waiting forOne Piecechapter 1131 to be released. Upon the return of the series, fans will be treated to an incredibly exciting meeting between Luffy and Loki. These two characters have finally come face to face, andwith both bearing the title of Sun God, at least for now, fans can expect this meeting to grow more hostile. Given the way Oda has framed the sequence, it appears that Luffy and Loki will fight. However, that is only a surface-level understanding of the story. It appears that Oda doesn’t intend for Loki to be a long-term villain, which means that he and Luffy might share a better relationship later down the line.

For now, at the very least, they could engage in combat. Meanwhile,the remaining Straw Hats could potentially make it to Elbaf, and then, fans could see the crew reunite. There are also exciting individuals for the Straw Hat Pirates to meet, such as the mysterious man who was awaiting their arrival on the shores, and at the same time, other intriguing characters, such as Hajrudin, and Saul as well. Perhaps, all these characters will finally make an appearance inOne Piecechapter 1131, and fans cannot be more excited for their return, as well as that of their beloved characters.
