Summary

One Piecefans are incredibly excited because the series has finally entered the Elbaf arc. This arc had fans wait 25 years as it was set up in the pre-time skip of the series, around Little Garden, when the Straw Hats first entered the Grand Line. Of course, with every new arc, Oda introduces quite a lot of new elements related to that particular place, and of course, at the same time, strong enemies forLuffy and the Straw Hat Piratesto fight against.

At the same time, Oda also adds to the already incredible power system inOne Piece, that is, Devil Fruits. In Elbaf, in particular, Oda has introduced a legendary Devil Fruit and fans are incredibly intrigued to see what this fruit actually is and what power it holds. So far, the hints have been very minimal, but fans can always theorize about what this ability could do.

Elbaf’s Legendary Devil Fruit Is Introduced

InOne Piecechapter 1130, Oda introduced a bit of lore pertaining to Elbaf. In this chapter, Oda revealed to the fans thatHajrudin is a prince of Elbaf, however, he certainly is not the only Prince. Fans already know from Whole Cake Island that Loki is another. Both of these princes have very different personalities, and Loki, who fans know to have been inspired by the Norse God with the same name, is quite evil. In fact, right from a very young age, Loki started committing many heinous acts. Eventually, he was punished for it and the sentence was crucifixion. This might seem rather extreme, but it certainly does make sense when one hears about what Loki actually did. It just so happens that Loki went on to murder his own dad, King Harald, in cold blood.

This legendary devil fruit is passed down Elbaf’s royal line!

The reason for his murdering his own father was also revealed. It is believed that a legendary Devil Fruit exists in Elbaf that is passed from one generation to another. This devil fruit was, most likely, in possession of King Harald. However, whether he actually ate it or not is not known. It is possible that King Harold did not eat the Devil Fruit because the fruit was supposed to be protected for a certain someone. Loki, who likely had his eyes on this Devil Fruit, ended up killing his father and consuming the fruit for himself. This gave Loki unfathomable power, and his strength reached a level where the entirety of Elbaf had to unite to restrain him and tie him. Ever since then, Loki has been in chains in Elbaf, and the Giants believe that the day he is released from his chains is going to be catastrophic because the world will surely end.

Is The Devil Fruit Meant For A Chosen One?

Loki’s Devil Fruit Might Have Chosen Him For A Reason

There are two ways thatthe legendary Devil Fruit of Elbafcan be handled by Oda. One possibility is that this Devil Fruit was eaten by each king of Elbaf. Given that the Giants can live up to 300 or 400 years, there could have been two or three users of this Devil Fruit which could also include King Harald himself. As fans know, after the death of an individual, a Devil Fruit reincarnates into a nearby fruit. Perhaps, that is why Loki killed his own father. If Harald was the user of this Devil Fruit, Loki killing him would have given him access to its power after the fruit reincarnated.

Loki killed King Harald and ate the fruit!

However, a big hole in this idea is that Loki should not have been able to kill his own father if he did possess this Devil Fruit. Given that Loki is a giant of Elbaf and the Elbaf Giants are all prideful, Loki would most likely not have snuck up on his own dad and killed him. If Harald did die, then it is likely that he battled Loki. Loki killing him if he had eaten this Devil Fruit seems unlikely, which opens up room for another idea.

Perhaps, this Devil Fruit was never eaten by anyone. It is possible that the last user of this Devil Fruit lived in the Void Century, andjust like the Gomu Gomu no Mi, this devil fruit was meant for a certain someone. Perhaps, it was mentioned long ago that the rightful user of this Devil Fruit will eventually come and eat it. Loki, who fans know is obsessed with the idea of being the Sun God and destroying the world, might have believed it to be him. That is likely why he killed his own father and secured access to this devil fruit and consumed it. This makes a lot more sense.

In either case, fans know that Loki ended up eating this devil fruit and it granted him tremendous might. In fact, his power is believed to be such that he can destroy the entire world. Loki himself believes that he has the power to destroy the entire world, which is absolutely incredible.

The Current User Of The Devil Fruit And The Destruction Of The World

Elbaf’s Legendary Devil Fruit Could Hold Massive Importance

As has been made clear inOne Piecealready,Loki is the current user of Elbaf’s legendary Devil Fruit. As far as the class of the Devil Fruit goes, it can go in two ways. The Devil Fruit is either a logia or a Mythical Zoan. It is easy to see why this devil fruit could be a Logia. After all, the Logia-type devil fruits inOne Pieceare often believed to be the strongest. A legendary Logia would certainly make Loki strong enough to destroy the world. Furthermore, it would also make a lot of sense, especially because Hajrudin wanted to eat the Mera Mera no Mi, which is the flame Logia. Perhaps, after seeing Loki eat a Logia, he wanted one for himself as well. This could have been foreshadowing by Oda.

Another option is for this Devil Fruit to be a Mythical Zoan. It is self-explanatory why this devil fruit could be a Mythical Zoan. Almost all legendary Devil Fruits in One Piece are mythical in nature, and a big example isLuffy’s Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika.Luffy’s devil fruit is mystical in nature. Similarly, it is likely that Loki’s Devil Fruit gives him access to the powers of a God. Given how Loki believes himself to be the Sun God, it is possible that whatever power this fruit holds is somewhat related to the Sun God itself. Perhaps, there could be two versions of the same fruit, or a fruit that is somewhat similar to the Sun God Nika fruit.

It is also possible that Loki has powers of an entirely different God, such as Odin, or any other. It must be remembered that Loki’s eyes are covered, which means that they have something to do with his powers. Perhaps, the God that Loki transforms into uses his eyes to cause large-scale destruction, which Odin would certainly fit. It is also possible that Loki has the power of a mythical creature, such as Jormungandr, or the Fenrir. Both of these are quite exciting ideas, and hopefully, fans will find out soon as to what his Devil Fruit actually is.
