The Elbaf Arc ofOne Pieceis well and truly underway and fans are eagerly waiting to see what this incredible story arc will deliver next as it moves forward. So far, fans have not seen a proper glimpse of Elbaf, given that the Straw Hats are still far from the Warland. Luffy and the East Blue Five, along with Chopper, find themselves in a fake version of Elbafcreated by the Sun God, the remaining part of the Straw Hat Pirates are desperately looking for Luffy and his group so that they can all set sail to Elbaf together.
Things are quite chaotic inOne Pieceright now, but there are certain elements about Elbaf that Oda has already incorporated into his story, and some other catastrophic events that he has foreshadowed as well. Clearly,One Pieceis headed towards greatness with its final saga, and fans might see a catastrophic event take place in Elbaf, which is possibly going to be centered around the Yggdrasil tree and, of course, the event of Ragnarok.
The Giant Tree of Yggdrasil On Elbaf Is An Important Element
On the land of Elbaf, there exists a massive tree known as Yggdrasil. Fans have not truly seen the tree of Yggdrasil, but in the flashback that fans saw of Big Mom long ago in the Whole Cake Island arc, the Incredible tree was clearly present. Ever since then, the Yggdrasil tree has been seen in silhouette on many occasions, and while this tree has not been truly revealed in the story, fans know that it exists. Even in the fake Lego city that was created by the Sun God aboard his ship, the Yggdrasil tree did exist. Fans will most definitely see the Yggdrasil tree in the main Elbaf as well, and this tree is going to be very important.
The Yggdrasil is burning…we must report it to the Sun God!
Interestingly enough, fans who are aware of the importance of the Yggdrasil tree in Norse mythology as well would know that this tree harbors the many worlds, such as Niflheim and Midgard, among others. This tree is essentially what holds life andeven in the land of Elbaf, the importance of this tree is going to be something similar. In the fake version of the Elbaf city that was seen recently in One Piece, fans saw a miniature version of the Yggdrasil tree. The people who lived there were normal humans, and they believed that the Yggdrasil was a sacred tree. According to them, if the Yggdrasil tree burned down, then it would be the end of the world. This was quite interesting and could potentially serve as a foreshadowing for what is to come later.
Oda absolutely had no reason to introduce a fake Yggdrasil, and at the same time, hint at the fact that the destruction of this tree would bring about the end of the world. This is clearly Oda hinting at what is to happen later down the line in the Elbaf arc, and this massive tree, which will be confirmed to harbor all life in this country, will come under fire. Luffy and the others will have to do their utmost best to protect the Yggdrasil tree, and as they do that, they will also save the country from total ruin.
The Destruction Of Yggdrasil And The End Of The World
Yggdrasil’s Destruction Will Kickstart Ragnarok – The End Of The World
Of course, fans might wonder as to how the Yggdrasil tree will even be destroyed in the first place and why that would lead to the end of the world. The answer to this question is quite simple. Firstly, fans would naturally look at the threat from within the land of Elbaf that they are aware of. Of course, there exist characters such as Loki, who, in mythology, are not exactly good guys. But, there is absolutely nothing that indicates that Loki is a bad guy inOne Piece, at least for now. Fans do not know if there are any antagonistic characters within the land of Elbaf either, and, at the same time, it is also clear in the story that Elbaf is protected by one of the strongest characters of all time, Shanks.
Clearly, with such a monstrously powerful individual protecting the country, no giant or any resident of Elbaf would seek to do it harm. The idea of Elbaf being threatened from within doesn’t hold up, which takes one to the second possibility, which is a threat to Elbaf from the outside.
Why did you let Joy Joy escape…Saturn? – Imu
Speaking of outside threats in the world ofOne Piece, there can only be one threat that the country can face, and this threat will come through Imu. Clearly, fans know that Imu is currently targeting Joy Boy. The secrets of the World Governmentwere unraveled in the Egghead Island arc, and now the people of the world are very well aware of what the World Government is plotting and the fact that there is an Ancient Weapon out there on the loose. More importantly, Imu recently executed Saturn for not being able to stop Joy Boy. While Saturn is dead, that certainly doesn’t mean the Joy Boy, or Luffy, is safe. Luffy’s destination is clear to the entire world. Vegapunk himself announced that he would be going to Elbaf, and at the same time, fans also know that all the Marines who spoke with Saturn were aware of the fact that Luffy was headed to Elbaf as well. Clearly, Imu knows that Luffy is headed to Elbaf, which means the threat to Elbaf will come directly from Imu. This threat that Imu will pose to Elbaf will essentially kickstart what would be known as Ragnarok in the country.
Elbaf’s Ragnarok And The One To Save The Land
Elbaf’s Destruction Would Require Luffy To Save It
Elbaf’s Ragnarok will be triggered in the form of the destruction of the World Tree Yggdrasil. This will come at some point later down the line towards its climax, and it will be brought about by Imu. Of course, one would wonder as to how Imu can do this. It’s too early for Imu to actually do something inOne Pieceand make a move themselves. But, the fact is that Imu doesn’t even have to lift a finger to bringabout the destruction of Elbaf. This is simply down to the fact that Imu has an ancient weapon at their disposal. This weapon is the Ancient Weapon Uranus. While Imu only had enough fuel for one shot which was utilized in the destruction of Lulusia, now, the Mother Flame has been secured by the World Government.
At the same time, York is also in possession of the Government, who will continue making more Mother Flame. Of course, making more Mother Flame will take some time. But, fans should also keep in mind that there is a giant piece of Mother Flame ready for the World Government to utilize. Given that Imu already knows Luffy’s location and the fact that they want to get rid of Luffy as soon as possible,Elbaf is going to be targeted, which means that the World Tree Yggdrasil will be shot down by the Ancient Weapon Uranus, which will bring about Ragnarok in the country.
Of course, the one to save the countrywill have to be the Sun God, Luffy, which will also mirror how Mother Carmel stated in Big Mom’s flashback that the Sun God would calm the disaster. Luffy will avert this disaster, but, at his side could potentially be another incredibly important character, Vivi, who is likely going to be incorporated into the story soon enough. Vivi could have secret connections to an Ancient Weapon, specifically Uranus, and these two could work together to avert this catastrophe and save the land of the Giants.
