Summary

Loki is a very powerfulOne Piececharacter who fans were introduced to rather recently in the story.Loki is the Prince of Elbaf, and that alone puts him under the spotlight. If that wasn’t enough, fans also know that Loki holds a legendary Devil Fruit, which was passed down the royal line in Elbaf, and that he claims to be the Sun God, wanting to destroy the entire world.

Loki is certainly a very intriguing character with many layers, and fans know for a fact that his relationship with Luffy will certainly be pivotal in the Elbaf arc. Curiously enough, Loki believes himself to be the Sun God, whom fans also know to be Nika. Given that these legends stemmed from the land of Elbaf itself, Loki’s claim, which may seem absurd at this point in time, might not be so far-fetched after all. Perhaps, he has a connection with Nika.

Loki’s Claim Of Being The Sun God In One Piece

InOne Piecechapter 1130, fans were properly introduced to Loki. In this chapter, readers got to see a very exciting development in the story pertaining to the character called Loki. Oda introduced Loki through the members of the Giant Warrior Pirates. It was revealed in the story that Loki possesses an absurd amount of strength. It was also revealed that he had committed many heinous acts over the years, which eventually accumulated and led to his being sentenced to crucifixion. After he killed his dad, the entirety of Elbaf united against him and managed to restrain him successfully.

I’m the Sun God who will destroy the world! – Loki

One Piece Gear 5 Luffy Egghead-3

The Giants of Elbaf believe that if Loki were to ever escape his chains, it would be the end of everything, and he would destroy the world. This is quite a shocking statement to make and goes to show how strong he truly is.

More importantly, when Luffy Met Loki, the latter clearly stated that he is the Sun God who is going to destroy the world. This is quite an intriguing statement and fans know that Loki believes every bit of it, as he said it with great confidence. However, fans know that thereis only one Sun God and his name is Nika. Currently, the powers of the Nika Devil Fruit belong to none other than Luffy, as he ate it long ago.

In the Wano Country arc, these devil fruit awakened for the first time, giving rise to the warrior of liberation finally returning to the world 800 years later. This is where the confusion creeps in. If Luffy is the Sun God Nika, there is absolutely no way that Loki can be Nika as well. Loki’s claim of being Nika must have some connection to the Devil Fruit that he consumed, which is believed to be legendary and is passed down the Elbaf royal family.

The Legendary Devil Fruit Of Elbaf Was Consumed By Loki

Loki Murdered His Father For His Devil Fruit

The legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf was introduced inOne Piecechapter 1130, alongside Loki. It was revealed by the Giants of Elbaf that there exists a legendary Devil Fruit that is passed down the royal line, likely from one King to another. This Devil Fruit has likely been passed down for centuries, possibly dating back to the Void Century itself. King Harald was the last person in possession of this Devil Fruit. It is unknown if Harald had eaten the Devil Fruit and gained its powers, or if he was just protecting it and waiting for some rightful person to consume it.

Loki killed his own father, and consumed the Devil Fruit! – Giants

Regardless, Loki had his eyes fixated on this devil fruit power and he wanted to consume it, no matter what. This resulted in Loki killing his own father and, later on, consuming this devil fruit and gaining its abilities. This is the fruit that granted Loki tremendous strength, to the point where he could fight against the entirety of Elbaf and give them a hard time.

Clearly, if this devil fruit is heavily protected and passed down the royal family in Elbaf, who fans know have a connection to the Sun God Nika itself, it cannot be unrelated to the Sun God. As such, there certainly is a connection between the powers of this fruit and Nika, who existed in Elbaf long ago. However, what exactly that connection is, fans need to see. Perhaps there exists another Devil Fruit like the Nika fruit, and the ability that was passed down the royal line in Elbaf is that one.

It is also possible that there was a mix-up long ago and the Devil Fruit that was actually supposed to be passed down the royal line in Elbafwas the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. Somehow, this Devil Fruit could have made it out of Elbaf and been replaced by another powerful Devil Fruit. It is a plausible theory, and would make sense why Loki believes himself to be the Sun God.

Loki could potentially have tremendous powers, but, these powers are likely not going to be related to the Sun God itself.Fans know what abilities Nika holds. Nika has the power to spread laughter and joy wherever he goes, and liberate people from their chains. He can do anything he wants and is only limited by his imagination. He has a rubbery body that gives him great freedom and tremendous strength. It is highly unlikely that any other Devil Fruit replicates these powers. As such, Loki is likely not the same Sun God as Luffy. His connection to Nika is only one in name, but his powers are likely going to be completely different.

Loki could have powers that grant him an incredible transformation, or offer great firepower. He could be very strong and have enough strength in him to destroy the whole world. While he might mistake these powers for those of the Sun God, fans know that they are nothing like those of Luffy. Loki might even have a transformation similar to Nika. This is because both Dorry and Brogy knew what Nika looks like, and clearly, the other Giants of Elbaf know this too.

For Loki to stay with such confidence that he is the Sun God must mean that his devil fruit grunts him a similar transformation, regardless of what class it is from. But, the powers offered by the fruit themselves are likely going to be completely different. Perhaps, these Devil Fruits were made in pairs, or, Loki’s desire of being Nika was so strong that he ended up resembling him after consuming this Devil Fruit. The fact that this fruit was protected bythe royal line of Elbafand passed down from one generation to another implies that it is very important and potentially is there to aid the real Nika, fulfilling the role of his sidekick. Regardless of what the importance of this Devil Fruit is, fans know that Loki will have a very important role to play and he might not be the villain that fans assume him to be after all.
