Sanji isone of the strongest members of the Strawhat Piratesand, quite easily, among the strongest Yonko Commanders that fans have seen in the entire story. InOne Piece, although Sanji’s beginning to his journey as a pirate was rather humble, he has grown tremendously over the years. Right now, Sanji can be described as one of the most dependable members of the crew and, at the same time, a feared pirate, with a bounty of 1.032 billion berries.
When it comes to Sanji’s strength inOne Piece, fans know that Wano was a big step forward for him, because of him gaining a new power up in the form of Ifrit Jambe. At the same time, Sanji also awakened the latent scientific abilities that stemmed from Judge’s experimentation on him while he was still in his mother’s womb. Undoubtedly, Sanji showed a drastic growth rate in Wano, but now, he has taken things up a notch in Elbaf and reached an even higher level of power.
Sanji’s Ifrit Jambe Ability And How He Awakened It
The Wano Country arc was massive for just about every Straw Hat. However, of all the crew, the Monster Trio certainly showed the most growth. Fans already know that for Luffy, Wano was the most significant Arc. Not only did he awaken the powers of Advanced Armament and Supreme King Haki, but, at the same time, he also tapped into the power of Devil Fruit Awakening and gained access to Gear 5. Putting together all the abilities that he had learned, Luffy was able to defeat Kaido, one of the Emperors of the Sea. As for Zoro, fans know that he managed to gain a new sword, Enma, which boosted his power tremendously. Zoro was able to bring out his latent Conqueror’s Haki and use this power to defeat King.
More mass, more acceleration! – Sanji
Sanji, on the other hand, showed dramatic growth as well. For him, Wano was incredibly important. Sanji first utilized the power of the Raid Suit that he gained in Whole Cake Island. After using it on three occasions, Sanji felt his body react weirdly. Somehow, the Raid Suit had triggered his suspended genetic mutation and restarted it. With time, Sanji’s body started showing great changes and eventually, he developed an exoskeleton, gained more muscle mass, and had all his physical attributes boosted considerably. All this was signified by Sanji’s eyebrow swirling in the opposite direction. Because of his new exoskeleton, Sanji was now capable of sustaining even hotter flames on his legs and his body in general. That is precisely why he was able to develop a new power, called Ifrit Jambe. Ifrit Jambe’s flames are blue in color and at the same time, generate lightning as well.
Essentially,Sanji could electrocute and burn his opponents at the same time, frying them from the inside out. Sanji used this ability first in the battle against Queen, and much to the surprise of the fans, he was able to get rid of him in just a single attack. Taking down Queen was no problem for him at all and fans know that he could have even taken down stronger enemies such as King, and held his own even against the likes of an Emperor for a significant period of time.
Still, fans also knew that Sanji was far from the level of an Emperor and definitely not as strong as an Admiral either. But, all those things just meant that he needed to grow even stronger, which he has now in the Elbaf Arc of One Piece.
Sanji’s New Mastery Over Ifrit Jambe In Elbaf
Sanji Has Surpassed His Limits Once Again In Elbaf
It is easy for the fans to see thatSanji is using Ifrit Jambemore frequently in Elbaf. When Nami was attacked by Iskat, Sanji did not hold back and used Epaule Strike on the cat. Even more recently, inOne Piecechapter 1129, fans saw Sanji use Ifrit Jambe once again. Curiously enough, Sanji used this ability in a very different manner in this chapter, which essentially confirms that he has grown even stronger.
In One Piece chapter 1129, when Road, also known as the Sun God, trapped the Strawhat Pirates using a steel net, Sanji and Zoro were the ones who responded by striking this net and reducing it to bits. While Zoro used an unknown attack, Sanji tapped into Ifrit Jambe once again and launched just a regular kick to break the net. What was surprising here was the fact that Sanji did not tap into his Germa powers at all.
Love is stronger than light! – Sanji
For those who do not remember, in order for Sanji to tap into Ifrit Jambe, he absolutely has to utilize the power of the Germa mutation, because otherwise, he will not have access to the exoskeleton, the increased muscle mass, or have his physical attributes boosted. All these things are necessary for Sanji to sustain hotter flames on his legs. However, inOne Piecechapter 1129,Sanji sustained Ifrit Jambeon his legs without even tapping into the power of his Germa mode.
This essentially means that Sanji has strengthened his legs and, at the same time, his Haki, to a level where he doesn’t need to tap into his scientific mutations to be able to sustain Ifrit Jambe. This essentially indicates Sanji’s level of Haki has advanced tremendously, as has his basic level of strength. Right now, Sanji is capable of defeating Yonko Commanders without even tapping into his scientific mutation, which just goes to show how far he has come, despite not fighting any major battle since Queen.
How Strong Is Sanji Right Now?
Sanji Is Stronger Than A Yonko Commander
After the eventsof the Wano Country Arc, one could conclude that Sanji was on the same level as the strongest Yonko right-hand men. In fact, a case could have been made for Sanji defeating the vast majority of them. But now, fans can rest assured that he is on a level higher. At this point, Sanji can easily defeat the vast majority of the Yonko right-hand men and he is clearly on a level above them.
Sanji even had clasheswith Admiral Kizaru in Eggheadand he was able to shatter his lasers with a single kick, stating that his love is even stronger than Kizaru’s light. Sanji showcased a physics-defying feat there, and later on, he became the only character to actually injure Nusjuro in the arc, once again, showcasing his advanced level of strength. Sanji is clearly closing in on Admiral level, and by the end of the Elbaf arc, he should be as strong as them, which means that once Elbaf concludes, he should be ready to tackle the biggest threats without too much trouble. Fans simply have to sit back and watch Sanji grow and reach the next level of strength as Elbaf continues.
