What Could The Announcement Be About?

At the moment there is no information about the announcement other than that it is related to both the anime and the manga. The One Piece anime is currently focused on the Egghead arc, which is the first of many in the Final Saga. The anime will release a new episode tomorrow, which will bring an end to the epic clash between Monkey D. Garp and Kuzan. Once the fight is over, the anime will return to Vegapunk’s island, where the Straw Hat Pirates are fighting for their lives.

It is possible that one of the announcements might berelated to Franky’s voice actor, Kazuki Yao, who is suffering from ill health. Kazuki Yao was forced to step down from his role as Djano in one of the more recent episodes. So, it is possible that he might have to relinquish his role as Franky as well until he gets better. Or it is possible that the announcement could be related to the new anime project directed by Megumi Ishitani, the legendary director.

The manga, on the other hand, is currently focused on Elbaf, the land of the giants. So far only a handful of chapters have been released, making it difficult to make a guess regarding the medium. Thankfully, viewers don’t have to pick their brains for too long as the announcement is just a day away.

One Piece Has Produced Insane Numbers

The One Piece manga started serializing in the Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997, and it has since been regular. It has released over 100 volumes, and the number is likely to increase even further. The One Piece manga has sold over 500 million copies, making it the undisputed best-selling manga of all time.

The One Piece anime started airing in 1999. It is produced by Toei Animation and over a thousand episodes have been released. Given the popularity of the series, it’s hardly a surprise that many new projects have been announced. The One Piece Live Action is arguably one of the biggest ones to date. Despite most live actions failing to live up to expectations, the One Piece live action actually performed splendidly. So it’s hardly a surprise that it has been renewed for two more seasons.
