The expansive world ofOne Pieceholds many secrets. Every sea has its own history, which adds another layer to the story. The South Blue is one of the four main oceans in One Piece. It holds many important islands, including the Sorbet Kingdom, the Torino Kingdom, and the Evil Black Drum Kingdom.
Since South Blue is absolutely massive in area, it’s hardly surprising that it is home to so many powerful One Piece characters. These individuals have helped the name of South Blue reach the ears of others.
7Bartholomew Kuma
Affiliation: Revolutionary Army, World Government
Bartholomew Kuma was born 47 years ago in the Sorbet Kingdom. Kuma had two great parents, but the family fell apartafter the World Government located them. Kuma’s mother died in captivity while his father was shot by a Celestial Dragon. Kuma remained in captivity until the God Valley Incident.
He possesses the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, which is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit. After consuming the Devil Fruit, Kuma’s palms developed paw-like pads. These can be used to deflect all sorts of attacks, protecting Kuma from harm. He can also use his paws to send enemies flying at ridiculously high speeds or even himself. Kuma’s Armament Haki is so potent that one punch was enough to send Saint. Jaygarcia Saturn crashing into the nearby buildings.
6Portgas D. Ace
Affiliation: Whitebeard Pirates
Ace was born bearing the name of his late father, Gol D. Roger. As Roger was already captured by the Marines, the duty of Ace’s birth fell on the shoulders of Rouge, his mother. Through sheer willpower, she deferred his birth so that the Marines would not take him away.
Ace had a lot of potential which he exhibited even as a kid. As he grew up, his strength only increased. At one point, Ace ate the Mera Mera no Mi, allowing him to create and control fire at will. While Ace also had access to all types of Haki, he never really mastered any of them.
5Lucky Roux
Affiliation: Red Hair Pirates
Lucky Roux is one of the top officers and the cookof the Red Hair Pirates. He is an integral part of the crew, and he always stays by Shanks' side. Lucky Roux was also the first person to kill someone in One Piece.
As a senior officer of the Red Hair Pirates, Lucky Roux is unquestionably a powerful individual. But due to limited screen time, fans do not have a proper idea of where he stands in terms of overall rankings. Hopefully, this will change in the FInal Saga of One Piece.
4Eustass Kid
Affiliation: Kid Pirates
Eustass Kid was the captain of the Kid Pirates, one of the most dangerous crews in the New World. He was born on an unnamed island in South Blue, which was not affiliated with the World Government. Naturally, the island’s condition was far from ideal and people had to struggle to survive. Kid met most of his crew members on the island, after which they formed a crew and set off.
Eustass Kid ate the Jiki Jiki no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit, giving him access to the forces of attraction and repulsion. After spending such a long time fighting, Kid awakened his Devil Fruit. He could also use all three types of Haki, which gave him an advantage over the rest.
3Ryokugyu
Affiliation: Marines, World Government
Ryokugyu hails from the Taya Kingdom in South Blue. He grew up to be a police officer, but was thrown into prison due to a fiasco involving a woman. Ryokugyu remained imprisoned for twoyears until the World Governmentfreed him and made him a Marine Admiral.
Ryokugyu possesses the Mori Mori no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to plant life at will. He can use it to turn into a massive wooden golem which is strong enough to overwhelm the Nine Scabbards. Ryokugyu can also use Armament and Observation Haki.
2Sengoku
Sengoku was born in South Blue and joined the Marines at the age of 23. His talent and skill allowed him to climb through the ranks easily. Ultimately, he was promoted to the position of Fleet Admiral. Under his leadership, the Marines managed to win the Summit War.
Sengoku is able to use all three types of Haki, making him part of an exclusive list. He also possesses the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Daibutsu,a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit. It enables him to transform into a Golden Buddha. While in this form, Sengoku can emit powerful shock waves from the palms of his hands that can nullify the attacks from the Gura Gura no Mi.
1Kuzan
Affiliation: Blackbeard Pirates
Kuzan is currentlythe Titanic Captain of the Tenth Ship of the Blackbeard Pirates. Originally, he was a Navy Admiral, but he left the organization after losing to Sakazuki in an intense duel that took place on Punk Hazard.
Kuzan was born somewhere in South Blue 49 years prior to the current timeline. The name of his hometown remains unknown, but Oda might disclose it in a volume SBS. At some point, Kuzan joined the Marines and trained hard to become an Admiral. Kuzan possesses the Hie Hie no Mi, a Logia-type Devil Fruit that allows him to create ice at will. He has immense control over the Devil Fruit, as evidenced by his fight with Monkey D. Garp.
