Overwatch 2offers a wealth of different ways for players to express themselves with cosmetics like hero skins, sprays, voice lines, and more. One type of cosmetic, called victory poses, allows for the winning team of a match to have a moment to gloat with a fixed character pose. These victory poses have beena part ofOverwatchsince the beginningand there have been many impressive and more complex poses added over the years. Some of the more beloved sets of victory poses are the Halloween-themed tombstone ones that classically have the hand of the buried character poking up out of the dirt in front of the tombstone just like a zombie.
OneOverwatch 2fan, Lower-Boat-2269 on Reddit, went ahead and created new R.I.P. victory poses for four of the game’s most recent heroes, Lifeweaver, Illari, Venture, and the latest addition, Juno.Juno holds her Mediblasterup out of the dirt while her space helmet sits at the foot of her Pulsar Torpedo-flanked gravestone. Illari appears to hold up a small orb of solar energy while her Solar Rifle is propped against her stone. The tombstone for Lifeweaver’s pose is wearing the big pink flower petals he wears on his back while he holds up his pink rose, surrounded by other pink flowers on the ground. Fittingly, Venture’s Smart Excavator protrudes up from the ground in front of their tombstone, which also has their digging goggles and other gear lying on top of it.
Overwatch 2 Fan Makes R.I.P. Victory Poses For Juno, Illari, Lifeweaver, and Venture
Fans under the Reddit post mention their disappointment thatOverwatchstopped making these poses after Ana’s addition in 2016, and that essentially only the original members of the hero roster are part of the set. Even though these R.I.P. victory poses have been discontinued for a long time, they’re still quite common to see in-game around Halloween, suggesting most fans would surely be excited if Blizzard decided to bring them back. Blizzardhas a wealth of newer heroes fromOverwatch 1andall the latestOverwatch 2heroesto pull from if the team does choose to make Halloween tombstone poses again. The possibilities seem endless.
As October begins to wind down, so too willOverwatch 2’s Halloween Terror event, which is set to expire on November 4. Fans of spooky season shouldn’t worry, though, as Season 13 itself is expected to roll through early December. Additionally, the game’s new tank, which was teased at the end of the Season 13 trailer, is anticipated to be unveiled sometime in November.
