Jazz Jin was a great addition toPersona 5 Royal, andPersona 6could benefit heavily from its own version of the service. While it wasn’t a part of the original game, Jazz Jin proved to be such a useful new feature that it would be hard to ignore.Persona 6is going to have to make a lot of decisions regarding what elements fromPersona 5it should keep. As for Jazz Jin, being a late addition may make it a slightly harder sell, but its services are something that could servePersona 6quite well.
The variety ofnew features inPersona 5 Royaldo plenty to set it apart from the original. The addition of a new story arc and a new member of the Phantom Thieves are easily the most visible of the changes, but gameplay saw plenty of shifts. Some of the Confidant effects were tweaked, changing the perks that they provide the player. The game mechanics also saw several changes, from the dungeons to the enemies within.Persona 5 Royalhad enough differences to make it worthwhile for players of the original. Jazz Jin was one of these new features, and one of the most interesting.
Persona 6 Would Be Wise to Recreate the Bonuses that Jazz Jin Provides
Jazz Jin Was a Good Place to Visit in Persona 5 Royal
The requirement to have astrong party inPersonagamesis something that Jazz Jin can easily help with. Jazz Jin is a club inPersona 5 Royalthat players can visit with a party member after paying an entrance fee. In addition to boosting their Confidant, the party member will receive a bonus depending on the day of the week. These will typically be stat boosts or a level up. Visiting on Sunday, on the other hand, will grant their Persona a new skill depending on the day. This makes Jazz Jin a major strategic asset for players strengthening their parties.
Jazz Jin’s bonuses are doubled on days where a singer is present, making the player’s visits more valuable.
Jazz Jin Made Persona 5 Royal’s Party Members Better
A service like Jazz Jin is exactly whatPersona 6should take from past games. While the stat boosts are good for obvious reasons, the bonus skills are the biggest value that players can get out of them. Most of the skills are status and stat-based, being more functional than flashy. That list also includes some absurdly strong skills like Ali Dance and Spell Master. The 3,000 Yen cost feels like a meaningful payment for the reward. It’s something thatPersona 6would do well to replicate. The question is how it could fit into the next game while retaining its utility.
Persona 6 Could Make Good Use of Jazz Jin’s Services
APersona 6equivalent of Jazz Jin could come in many forms. PerhapsPersona 6’s Velvet Roomcould have a feature that mimics Jazz Jin’s bonuses, or at least its skill-granting qualities. Outside of that, it may make sense for a gym in-game to take up Jazz Jin’s attributes; after all, it would make sense for party members to get stronger after a workout session.Persona 6could also choose something closer to the original, such as a restaurant or juice bar. Whatever the facility actually ends up being, seeing Jazz Jin’s formula again inPersona 6would be to the game’s benefit.
Persona 5 Royalshouldn’t be the last appearance of something like Jazz Jin. The playableparty members ofPersona 6would benefit greatly from Jazz Jin’s buffs, and it would give players a valuable way to customize their party further. There should be some way for its niche to comfortably fit somewhere intoPersona 6’s world in some fashion. Despite its late introduction to the series, it’s an amazing option worth seeing again. WhilePersona 6might not have Jazz Jin by name, the game will hopefully bring its own version.
