Over on theAstro Botsubreddit, user Good-Tomatillo761 recently shared an image of their son dressed up as the titular robot for a Halloween costume contest. Being a stylized non-human character,Astro Bot’s design would understandably be challenging to translate to a human form. However, Good-Tomatillo761 did an excellent job capturing the essence ofAstro Botfor their son’s Halloween costume, joining the ranks of several otherfans who have donned theAstro Botlook.

Much like thelimited-editionAstro BotDualSense controller, Good-Tomatillo761’s costume nails the character’s blue and white color scheme, complete with the blue chest section and blue rings around the hands and legs. The attention to detail here is plentiful too, as the costume featuresAstro Bot’s three prongs for hands, teal feet, silver accenting, and cape. Finally, the most impressive part of thisAstro Botcostume is the helmet, which has also been given the blue-and-white treatment in addition to the antenna on top and big blue LED eyes.
The collective appreciation ofAstro Botwill hopefully serve as a sound reminder to Sony that there will always be demand for smaller, more passionate projects. While it’s too soon to know whether anAstro Botsequel is being planned, it seems quite likely given the platformer’s immense critical and commercial success. At the moment, one can only hope that moreAstro Botgames are on the way, and that Good-Tomatillo761’s son will emerge victorious in their Halloween costume contest.
