Summary
APokemonfan has created a trio of new forms for Cramorant, revolving around what the Pokemon has gorged itself on. The unique takes have amused fellowPokemonenthusiasts, with some wishing that these alternate forms would appear in an actualPokemongame.
Cramorant is quite unusualwhen it comes to characteristics Pokemon can have. While the Pokemon can be seen fighting on its own, if it uses Dive or Surf, it can emerge with a Pokemon in its mouth. While Cramorant only ever has Arrokuda or Pikachu in its mouth in standard gameplay, the anime and Pokedex indicate that Cramorant will try and swallow whole just about anything it comes across, making these three alternate forms see plausible.
Pokemonfan and Reddit user LukeTheCyberpunk shared the three new forms forCramorant, introducing its Haunting Form, Pungent Form, and Regretting Form. Each of the forms revolves around what it’s got in its mouth and how it impacts both Cramorant and its enemy.
In Pungent Form, Cramorant eats and then spits out aSizzlipede, burning its opponent. The Pokemon doesn’t look too happy about it itself, with a tear peeking out of its eye from the heat of the Sizzlipede. In Haunting Form, Cramorant swallows a Corsola and transforms into a Water/Ghost-type and raises its Defense and Special Defense. In this form, it looks like it didn’t manage to spit out the Corsola, seemingly indicating that the Cramorant dies and becomes a ghost. Finally, Regretting Form sees Cramorant trying to eat a Qwilfish, which poisons it, and upon being spat out, poisons the enemy as well.
Pokemon Fans Want More Cramorant Variety
Numerous players have commented on the fanart, praising the artist for their ideas and designs. It seems that manyPokemonfans would like to see Cramorant get more forms in a future game based around what it’s eaten, with these three designs delighting players at the possibilities. One fan suggested that in the case of its Regretting Form, it might make more sense for the opponent to become badly poisoned, to give Cramorant an advantage in battle.
WithMega Evolutions being the focus inPokemon Legends: Z-A, it doesn’t seem likely that Cramorant will receive any new forms anytime soon. However, it’s clear that there are plenty of ways Game Freak could implement it with refreshed forms. Perhaps the developer will get back to Cramorant and add goofy new forms like these someday.
