Reddit user andPokemonfan lethdat shared a weird figure that they were gifted for their birthday from their brother. The smallPokemon fusionfigurine mashes up Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Pikachu all into one figurine. Stitch-like markings across the seams of the figure make it look like a Frankenstein’s Monster straight out of thePokemonworld, completing the look. The figurine has received tons of responses from fans who have shared praise and thought up names for the creature, like Pokestein’s Monster, Squikamandersaur, and THE Starter, to name a few. One fan pointed out that it also seemed like a Ditto with an identity crisis who was simultaneously trying to transform into four different Pokemon at once.

How Was the Pokestein’s Monster Created?

Lethdat went on to explain that they and their brother makecustom keycaps for keyboards. The keycaps are made out of resin and contain tiny figurines, like select Pokemon. The artists create the Pokemon themselves, and the brother ended up with some faulty Pokemon that weren’t good enough to be put in keycaps. Instead of just throwing them away, they split the Pokemon apart and then combined them with glue, and then added the little stitch marks to complete the look. It’s a clever repurposing of the designs, and it seems that somePokemonfans actually want to see these Frankensteined Pocket Monsters put into keycaps, too.

Pokemonkeycaps and other unique resin keycap designs have become popular in recent years, with many choosing to swap out keys from their mechanical keyboards with unique ones to make them truly their own. While there are plenty of artisans and designs to choose from, this may be one of the first to mash up multiple Pocket Monsters to create onecreepy Pokemonfigure. While this design is currently one-of-a-kind, those who are interested in it should keep an eye on lethdat’sEtsy shop, as it sound as though they may be selling similar creations in the future.
