It’s part of the reason thatPokemon GOexploded in popularity when it joined the scene, as it helped bridge the gap between the real world with the Pokemon one with its AR capabilities and real-world Pokemon spotting and catching. However, some fans aren’t content to stop with developers' games and products, and this fan has brought a pair of new Pokemon to life just in time for Halloween.
Reddit user andPokemonfan Worldwarallen has done it again, following up his prior impressive reveal of ananimatronic Pidgeywith a pair of new Pokemon. This time, the fan has created a Tentacool and Charmander with animatronic tentacles and tail, respectively. The fan shared a brief video of setting up at a Halloween trunk or treat event, where he had several Pokemon set out to show off while kids came around to collect candy. In a couple shots, he can be seen holding the Tentacool and the Charmander as their animations run. Both Pokemon move their extremities from side to side while he’s holding them, with the Charmander looking like it’s hugging the talented fan as he shows it off.
Pokemon Fan Shares Future Animatronic Plans
Numerous fans of the series have shared their praise and excitement over the animatronics, with some joking that the creator isn’t going to stop until he’s made every Pokemon real. Worldwarallen responded in kind, noting that he actually plans to create every Gen 1 Pokemon that’s of “reasonable size” in this manner at some point. Obviously, somemassive Pokemonlike Onix and Blastoise are probably out of the question, but there’s still plenty of more pocket-sized Pokemon that would likely look amazing if animated this way.
While these two Pokemon animatronics aren’t quite as complex as the Pidgey he previously showed off, the creator also showed that he goes back and further fine-tunes designs, recentlyrevising the Pidgey animatronic. In addition to new Pokemon, perhaps these two will get further improvements that make them even more impressive. Only time will tell what this clever fan does next, butPokemonfans are excited to see more.
