The astonishing display ofPokemon-themed jack-o-lanterns was first posted by a Reddit user named Powwowowow, who posted the sprawling display of carved pumpkins to one of the site’s primaryPokemonpages. The roughly 30-second video opens up with a shot ofthe fan-favorite Alolan Exeggutor, cleverly carved as two stacked pumpkins to accentuate the Pokemon’s massive height. The video then makes several sweeping pans of the entire impressive array, pausing for a few moments on select carvings including Solgaleo, Mimikyu, Minior, and more. All 88 of the Gen 7 Pokemon are represented here, resulting in an unrivaled Pokemon-themed Halloween display.

The massive undertaking is clearly resonating with fellowPokemonfans online, with the post receiving well over 1,000 upvotes within hours of being posted. Following comments by the post’s creator, a total of 100 pumpkins in all were carved, which includes the entirety of Gen 7 and the majority of Alolan forms. While it may be difficult to find anotherPokemonfan who can match that kind of quantity, there are certainly others with carvings of the same quality. OnePokemonfan’s fiance carved Gastly’s evolutionary lineon a single pumpkin, featuring Haunter, Gengar, and a cleverly incorporated Gigantamax Gengar.

Beyond the usual carving of pumpkins,Pokemonfans have been flexing their creative Halloween muscle on other types of art projects. For example, onePokemonfan created a Frankenstein-style figurewhich mashes up the franchise’s three original starters and Pikachu. The small-scale figure, which looks to be less than an inch tall, features the four classic Pokemon mashed together with black stitches, looking like something straight out of the horror genre.
