Summary

Niantic has announced that the November 2024 Community Day inPokemon GOwill be featuring Mankey. While this might not be a Pokemon many are excited about, considering it has featured in several events in the past, what makes thisPokemon GOCommunity Day important is that Primeape and Annihilape will be able to learn the much anticipated charged move Rage Fist.

The recent changes introduced by Niantic had a significant impact on thePokemon GOBattle League meta. With the nerfs to Counter, Annihilape no longer enjoyed the popularity it had, as it became much more difficult for players to collect the required amount of energy for charged moves. In fact, Annihilape wasn’t the only Pokemon that suffered, as several other Fighting-type Pokemon became quite ineffective as well. However, it seems like Annihilape might be on its way to reclaiming its lost glory, as it is all set to get a new move.

The event takes place on November 10, between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM local time.

Apart from that, players can get tons of bonuses for participating in the event. The harsh requirement for evolving Annihilape has been relieved for the duration of the event, with players needing to catch only 20 Fighting-type Pokemon while having Primeape as their buddy. Fans will also receive three times the XP and twice the candy for catching Pokemon. TheXL Candy bonus was critically acclaimed by thePokemon GOcommunityin the past, and it is making a return along with duration boosts to Incense and Lure Modules.

Pokemon GOfans were already expecting that Annihilape would get Rage Fistas part of the event, but Primeape also getting the move is good news for the community. Evolving to Annihilape is an arduous task even with the relaxed requirements, but players can now focus on evolving Mankey to Primeape instead to get the event-exclusive move. The event looks quite exciting for the community, but the only thing that remains to be seen is how effective Rage Fist will be.
