If one were to purchase an item bag or Pokemon storage increase individually, they would be spending 200 coins a pop, meaning that the Boost Box gave players significant value. For the price it would take to buy a storage increase and item bag on their own, players were also treated to five Super Incubators and five Premium Battle Passes. The box wasn’t long for this world, unfortunately, and nowPokemon GOplayers are reminiscing about it on Reddit.
Pokemon GO Players Miss the Boost Box
In a post by Reddit user Charg3B0lt, manyPokemon GOplayers left comments praising the Boost Box. One player even said that the box made them break their status as a strictly free-to-play player. Others said that they bought the limit of all three Boost Boxes and would have purchased more if they were allowed. It’s speculated that the box was added to thePokemon GOshopin error, which is why Niantic didn’t sell it for very long and also why it has yet to return to the game.
It’s unclear if the Boost Box will ever make its way back toPokemon GO. For now,Pokemon GOplayers will have to be satisfied with the other boxes that are available in the game, or buy what they want individually. While most of these purchases will inevitably require players to spend real money on the game, it should be noted thatPokemon GOplayers can get coins through in-game meansas well, just not nearly as fast.
