Pokemon Scarlet and Violetannounced that two new events, a Five-Star Tera Raid series and a Mass Outbreak, will go live on the third weekend of October. These newPokemon Scarlet and Violetevents will allow players to go after some rare critters that would normally require trading to obtain.
The new events will begin just days after the departure of Infernape the Unrivaled, a Seven-Star Tera Raid boss. While Infernape can normally be obtained inPokemon Scarlet and Violetby catching and evolving a Chimchar, the Flame Pokemon came with some unique characteristics, and granted the Mightiest Mark to players who bested it. Given that Infernape had the Rock-type as its Tera type, the agile boss was rendered vulnerable to attacks from Fighting Pokemon. Ergo,Pokemontrainers formed strategies around Kommo-o and Malamarto exploit Infernape’s weaknesses. With Infernape now gone from Tera Raid dens, only time will tell which Pokemon will be featured next.
In the meantime,Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players looking to complete the Pokedex will have two events to keep tabs on. According to Serebii.net, a series of Five-Star Tera Raids and Mass Outbreaks will start on Thursday, October 17 at 8:00 PM Eastern, and end on Sunday, October 20 at 7:59 PM Eastern. The Five-Star Tera Raid event will feature Armarouge, Ceruledge, Stonjourner, and Eiscue. Since Stonjourner and Armarouge are exclusive toPokemon Scarlet, the new Tera Raid event will givePokemon Violet players a chance to obtain them without trading. The same applies to catching Ceruledge and Eiscue via these Tera Raids inPokemon Scarlet. All four Pokemon will be level 75 and can have any Tera type except the Stellar type. A strong level 100 Pokemon with a type advantage should be sufficient forPokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers to take down these Tera Raid bosses.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Announce Tera Raid and Mass Outbreak Events (October 2024)
As for the Mass Outbreak event,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers will encounter Passimian and Oranguru throughout Paldea. Players who purchased The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLCcan catch Morpekoand Cramorant in Kitakami, and Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Sandshrew in the Terarium. It is unknown if these Pokemon will carry special marks, but trainers who want to Shiny Hunt for a particular species can do so while the Mass Outbreak event is live.
Between the Mass Outbreak and Five-Star Tera Raid battles,Pokemon Scarlet and Violetplayers have just a few days to catch more creatures they want. It remains to be seen what The Pokemon Companyhas in store for Halloween.
