Summary
Krafton has released an all-new update forPUBG:Battlegroundsthat not only improves the matchmaking experience with a region merge but also introduces significant changes to the game’s meta. The region merge has been quite controversial since it was announced a few weeks ago, with fans already quite frustrated with ping issues, but it seems like the developers have decided to move forward with the decision to consolidate a few regional servers inPUBG:Battlegrounds.
WhilePUBG:Battlegroundsno longer enjoys the same level of popularity it had at launch, it has witnessed a steady rise in its player count over the past few months. The developers have also been actively releasing new updates for the game to keep the playerbase engaged. For instance,PUBG:Battlegrounds’Update 31.1introduced significant changes to the Clan System. Now, the developers have released yet another major update for the battle royale game.
In a new blog post, Krafton has revealed what fans can expect fromPUBG:Battlegrounds’s Update 32.1. One of the biggest highlights of the update is the region merge, where several servers have been consolidated into one. For instance, on PC, North and South America have been merged into one group, while Oceania and South East Asia have been combined into another. This gives players less flexibility tochange servers inPUBG:Battlegrounds, but the developers previously explained that this decision was taken to improve the skill-based matchmaking experience.
That’s not the only significant change coming as part of the update. The developers are also making an array of tweaks to weapons and attachments. TheMuzzle Brake is regarded as the most powerful attachment inPUBG:Battlegroundsand it has finally received its inevitable nerf. Both the horizontal and vertical recoil along with the camera shake control have been significantly reduced. Considering how the attachment has dominated the meta, it remains to be seen if it will still be viable after the nerf. Apart from that, guns like the MG3 and DBS have been buffed, while the P90 and Mk14 have received nerfs. FAMAS fans get a lot more customization options with the update, as the QuickDraw Mag, Extended Mag, and Ext.QuickDraw Mag are now compatible with it.
The Recall system is also receiving a major overhaul. Flights now appear every two and a half minutes instead of once per phase, which slightly increases the total number of flights. However, flights will not spawn after phase 7. A new arcade mode, Hungers Left Behind, is also being introduced to the game, sharing a similar premise as Survivors Left Behind but featuring a much higher difficulty level. Given that modes such asPUBG: Battlegrounds’Fantasy Battle Royalehave been quite a hit in the past, the community is eagerly looking forward to seeing what Hungers Left Behind has to offer. Apart from that, a plethora of other bug fixes and quality-of-life changes are also being made to the game.
