Red Dead Redemptionremained trapped on PS3 and Xbox 360 for years until backward compatibility made it playable on the latest Xbox hardware. Then, in 2023,Red Dead Redemptioncame to the Nintendo Switch and PS4. While some fans were wanting a proper remaster or a full-blown remake of the game, Rockstar opted instead to simply port the open world classic to the newer platforms. After the release of the Switch and PS4 versions of the game, fans were calling on Rockstar to finally release the classic game on PC so PC gamers that playedRed Dead Redemption 2could get the full story. Rockstar is finally fulfilling that request with the newly-announcedRed Dead RedemptionPC port.
