Red Dead Redemptionis over 14 years old, and during all that time, PC players could only watch from afar, unable to experienceone of Rockstar’s best offerings. While some attempted to play it using emulators, the experience was often subpar. Thankfully, the long wait is nearly over, with the game set torelease in less than a month.
In a surprising announcement, Rockstar recently revealed thatRed Dead Redemptionwill be coming to PC on October 29. Some details about the PC version have already been shared, including the hardware requirements needed to run the game smoothly. Read the guide below to learn more.

The minimum requirements forRed Dead Redemptionaren’t too outrageous, but they aren’t exactly low either. To run the game, you’ll need an Intel Core i5-4670 or an AMD FX-9590 for the CPU. As for the GPU, either an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 or an AMD Radeon R7 360 should suffice. Additionally, 8 GB of RAM and 12 GB of storage are required, though it’s unclear whether an SSD is necessary or if an HDD will suffice.
Unfortunately, the developers haven’t revealed what resolution or framerate to expect from the minimum or recommended requirements. Either this information will be shared later, or players will find out atlaunch on October 29.
