How to Get Rental Decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket
When doing Solo battles inPokemon TCG Pocket, you may use Rental Decks that offer you a pretty solid lineup of cards you may not have in your collection. However, to unlock Rental Decks, you mustfirst unlock the highlight card for said deck.
So, for example, to unlock the Venusaur ex Rental Deck forGenetic Apex, you must collect the Venusaur ex card by opening booster packs, crafting, or Wonder Pick. There are also some Rental Decks that don’t highlight a Pokemon but instead highlight the Gym leader Trainer cards,like Brockand Blaine.
You cannot use Rental Decks inVersus battles against real players.
How to Check Rental Decks
From the Battle menu (or the main game menu), go ahead and click onMissionsin the bottom right corner. From there, hitDeckat the bottom. This section will list all theDeck Missions inPokemon TCG Pocket. You can see which highlight cards you’re missing and the ones you have unlocked.
How to Use Rental Decks
To actually select a Rental Deck for a battle, you need to go into theSolomenu, choose a battle, and right before you hit the blue Battle! button, touch the chosen deck, and then selectRental Decksat the bottom. Hit OK and then Battle.
Unfortunately,Rental Decks have a limit on how many times they can be used. Once they’re used in battles ten times, they will go away. At this time, we’re not sure if there’s a way to get the Rental Deck back.
