Turtle Beach and PDP have announced a new special-edition Nintendo Switch controller themed around Shadow the Hedgehog.It’s been a great year for Shadow, starring in his own game and getting a major film, and it only seems fitting to be treated to a PDP Realmz controller like his fellow Sonic. Called theShadow Space Colony ARK Realmz Wireless Controller, the new gamepad is available for pre-order on Amazon, with shipping slated for December.
The Shadow Space Colony ARK edition features the same transparent design as the other controllers in the Realmz Collection. The left grip has the words “Chaos Control” in red, while in a twist of irony, a figure of Shadow is trapped inside the right grip after fighting relentlessly to free himself. The rest of the controller is modeled after the hedgehog, with red and black buttons and a diorama display that showcases iconic game scenes from the Sonic franchise, including the newly releasedSonic X Shadow Generations.
Priced at $65, the Shadow-themed controller brings excellent features for gaming, such as gyro motion control and customizable LED lighting. It can last up to 30 hours on a single charge, and its excellent 30-foot wireless range lets you enjoy your games from the comfort of your sofa. The only downside is that it only works with Nintendo Switch consoles.
