Bloober Team has crafted a wonderful and faithful remake ofSilent Hill 2.They faithfully honor the memory of the original by featuring26 Glimpses of the Past. Each Glimpses of the Past offers a distinct callback to the originalSilent Hill 2, and players can witness all 26 of them in one playthrough toobtain the Echoes trophyfor their collectibles shelf.
Glimpses of the Past can be atad obscure for playerswho don’t know where to look, so with every Glimpse of the Past location listed below, players will be able to see all 26 of them throughout their playthrough to ensure another trophy reaches the collection.
South Vale (East) – All Glimpses of the Past
Glimpses of the Past #1
After passing Silent Hill Ranch, head towards theblocked tunnelsurrounded by wooden planks and metal pipes. The centeractivates a promptto access thefirst Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #2
After the Flower Shop and when James spots the monster in the fog, players need to follow to theright side of the road by Vachss Roadon their map, where there will be a“Do Not Enter” signon a metal gate, which activates thesecond Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #3
After acquiring the radio and fighting the first enemy, leave the building and take an immediate right to afenced and bloody garden, where interacting with the blood splatter provides thethird Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #4
To the right of the entrance of theWood Side Apartments on Katz Street, players can interact with thedumpsterto trigger theirfourth Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #5
Follow to theend of Katz Streetto find thewall covered in white cloth. Near the center of the cloth there is a small gap that can be interacted with to trigger thefifth Glimpse of the Past.
Wood Side Apartments – All Glimpses of the Past

After using the2F Hallway Key, players will need toaccess Room 213where there will bescratches on the wallin the bedroom. Interacting with the scratches triggers thesixth Glimpse of the Past.
Blue Creek Apartments – All Glimpses of the Past

After using the Winged Key to unlock a door with a big hole that needs to be jumped in, players willend up in Room 110of Blue Creek Apartments 1F. Within Room 110 is arotted piece of furniturethat can be interacted with for theseventh Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #8
Once the Clock Puzzle in Room 212 has been completed, players canhead to the staircasewhere at the top there should be thecorpse of a Lying Figure enemy. Interacting with the enemy corpse triggers theeighth Glimpse of the Past.
South Vale (West) – All Glimpses of the Past

After meeting Maria and heading through Rosewater Park, players will be in South Vale (West). They will then want to head up through Nathan Avenue to reach Pete’s Bowl-O-Rama. Take a left downCarroll Street and between the two buildingsis a staircase that will activate theninth Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #10
Head inside Pete’s Bowl-O-Rama and enter the bowling lanes. On theleft of the lanes are a pizza boxand some crusts, which can be interacted with for thetenth Glimpse of the Pastand the Leftovers trophy.
Brookhaven Hospital – All Glimpses of the Past

Once players have access to Brookhaven Hospital 2F, they will want toenter the Laundry Roomwhere afilled trash canto the left of a desk with a typewriter can be interacted with to trigger theeleventh Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #12
Head left from the Director’s Office in Brookhaven Hospital 2F andenter Room M1. Inside there will be ahospital bed with a rusted chainin the middle. Interact with the bed to trigger thetwelfth Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #13
Now that players have access to Brookhaven Hospital 1F, they will need to head into thebottom left corner of the Medical Recordsroom, where a typewriter holds thethirteenth Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #14
After solving the Director’s Office safe puzzle, players will have access to the Rooftop up the stairs of floor 3F. Once on the rooftop, keep to the right walkwayand interact with the railing that looks out to abroken metal fence. This will be thefourteenth Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #15
After an interaction with Pyramid Head on the Rooftop, players have a new area to explore in Brookhaven Hospital 3F. Players need to access theI3 Room, where a blood splatter on the padded walls will trigger thefifteenth Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #16
Within the Otherworld version of Brookhaven Hospital 2F, players will want to head down (South) from the Chained Box andenter the Restroom. Use the metal cart toaccess Room L1and then follow the corridor to reachRoom M4, where a hole in the wall allows them toaccess Room M5. Inside Room M5 is apair of handprints on the wallwhich can trigger thesixteenth Glimpse of the Past.

Progressing through the Otherworld’s version of South Vale, players will want to keep an eye out for when theyenter the East Side of South Vale, as insideNeely’s Bar will be a bloody mapthat can be interacted with for theseventeenth Glimpse of the Past.
Toluca Prison – All Glimpses of the Past

Once players enter theCanteensection of Toluca Prison straight from the use of the Spiral-writing Key, they will want toimmediately turn rightto interact with awooden slabon a table to trigger theeighteenth Glimpse of the Past. This can be done before the cutscene with Eddie.

Head into the Toluca Prison 1F Main Section and accessCell A3 in Block A, where there will be areligious shrineon a shelf that can be interacted with for thenineteenth Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #20
Upon accessing the Hornless Ox door and venturing through Toluca Prison 2F, players will find themselves through the Toilets and into the Showers. Within theShowers, follow the wall to the rightuntila rag and a wooden slabare located. This is thetwentieth Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #21
When the Eyeless Boar door has been accessed, head through Toluca Prison 1F’s Boar Section and go past theBreak Room to the bottom left of the map, opposite the staircase. Players will find ahatch on the floorwith a horseshoe which can be interacted with for thetwenty-first Glimpse of the Past.
Labyrinth – All Glimpses of the Past

Once playersmake it into the Rotten Area, they will want to head into the room with the Suspended Cage. Check the map andhead to the left door, then take an immediate right todestroy the breakable wall. Inside the wall is asquare room with a nooseand a rope which can be examined for thetwenty-second Glimpse of the Past.
Lakeview Hotel – All Glimpses of the Past
Glimpses of the Past #23
Upon reaching the Lakeview Hotel, head up the stairs to the right of the garden where there will be afountain with a statue of a fish. Inside the fountain’s bowl is an interactive item that can be selected to trigger thetwenty-third Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #24
Once players have accessed the western wing of the Lakeview Hotel 2F area, they will want to head insideRoom 212where there will be anopen suitcase. Interacting with the suitcase activates thetwenty-fourth Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #25
After reaching the Employee Section of Lakeview Hotel 1F by acquiring theEmployee Elevator Key, players will want tohead into the Pantryto the left of the Break Room where on a shelf they can find thetwenty-fifth Glimpse of the Past.
Glimpses of the Past #26
The final Glimpse of the Past is located after James watches the videotape in Room 312 and enters the Otherworld version of the hotel. Heading down the hotel, James canreach the Restroomto thenaccess the Reading Room, where atape recorder sits on a couchthat will trigger thetwenty-sixth Glimpse of the Past. Doing so should trigger the Echoes trophy which requires players to witness all glimpses of the past in a single playthrough.
