SomeDiablo 4players have encountered multiple issues preventing them from making Spiritborn characters, though most of the problems are easily fixable. By ensuring they have bought, registered, and installed the appropriate version ofVessel of Hatred, mostDiablo 4fans should be able to start their adventures in Nahantu using the new Spiritborn class.

The launch forDiablo 4: Vessel of Hatredhas gotten off to a rocky start. Its problems began on October 7, when the 4 PM PDT global release time forDiablo 4: Vessel of Hatredwas delayedby more than five hours due to unforeseen technical issues.

Vessel of Hatredis finally live, but it seems the expansion’s woes are far from over. Some players discovered they could not make Spiritborn characters after logging in after the expansion’s launch. In a post on the Blizzard forum,Diablo 4community manager Adam Fletcher provided a series of troubleshooting tips, isolating the issue to one of three sources: each platform must ownDiablo 4: Vessel of Hatredindividually, some fans were able to purchase the Standard to Ultimate upgrade without owning the Standard version of the expansion, and the Xbox client not automatically installing the update.

The first two problems can be solved simply by purchasingDiablo 4: Vessel of Hatred; a second time for another platform for the former, and the Standard edition in the latter case. The Xbox issue can be solved by manually checking to ensure theVessel of HatredDLC is installed forDiablo 4, which can be confirmed via the Manage Installation option while on the internal storage menu.

Sadly, this isn’t the only issueDiablo 4is having right now. Some players are randomly having theirVessel of Hatredlicenses revoked in the middle of play – a problem that should be fixable by swapping over to a non-Spiritborn character and then going back. Blizzard is working on implementing hotfixes for these and other problems, so hopefully, fans can enjoyeverything in theDiablo 4expansionwithout incident soon.
