Throughout the next year,Pokemonfans in Japan, Taiwan, and Singapore will be able toobtain an exclusive Tandemausby visiting a Pokemon Center store on their birthday. The Tandemaus is being given out through a direct distribution within the stores, not using codes like previous events to hand out the free Tandemaus. The gift Tandemaus boasts a special birthday ribbon in-game and features a unique move in Celebrate.
While the Tandemaus does not boast many special traits, its featured move should make it a sought-after Pokemon for collectors. The move cannot be obtained in Pokemon by normal means and has only previously been featured in special Pokemon given away through different events. Pokemon Center stores in Japan have previously given away a plethora of popular Pokemon as birthday presents,including the whole Eeveelution lineduringPokemon’s sixth generation of games.
The special Tandemaus distribution comes as thePokemonfranchise has been gearing up for the launch of its next major entry.
