Devs Promise New Operation in Space Marine 29 May 2025 Update
Saber Interactive’s post teased a bit of detail regarding the upcomingSpace Marine 2Operations mode map. The map will be located on the forested planet of Kadaku, a world almost completely conquered by the Tyranid swarm. Players will take on the role of Space Marines sent to aid the CadianAstra Militarum regimentsstill holding the planet and make the inevitable Tyranid victory on Kadaku “as painful as possible.” The post also included a screenshot of Kadaku, showing a corrupted forest overgrown with fleshy Tyranid structures, with the alien Capillary Towers rising in the distance.
In addition to the new Operation tease, theSpace Marine 2community update also promised a free 4K texture pack DLC for PC players with powerful hardware to take advantage of, hotfixes to address issues with crashes, and additionalSpace Marine 2armor customizationfeatures, like new color options for helmet lenses. All in all, the new Operation and additions appear to coincide somewhat with “Season 2” on Saber Interactive’sSpace Marine 2road map. Also listed on the roadmap are teases for a new “Lethal” difficulty level, a Neo-Volkite Pistol weapon, and a new enemy. The road map does not list when the updates will launch, but given the timing of the new Operation update, it may be safe to assume that they will launch in October.
Saber Interactive appears to be taking the right steps to cementSpace Marine 2and theSpace Marineseries as a whole into a new pillar ofWarhammer 40,000game adaptations. With consistent support, it could become a staple of online action games moving forward.
