While the PS4 and PS5 remain the only gaming consoles able to play the highly popular titles, the first two entries were ported to PC in 2022. It was recently announced that the newest game in the series would also be getting a PC port, although it alsorevealedMarvel’s Spider-Man 2won’t be getting DLC, and may affect the previously leaked spin-off game focusing on Venom.
The impressively paintedSpider-ManPS5 console comes from a Reddit user named Eyeradicate2004, who posted their creation to one of the site’s major PlayStation pages. The first slide features the side with Spider-Man, featuring Peter Parker in a three-quarter turn seemingly looking out into the distance. In addition to a gradient background with white spatter, the classicSpider-Man logo used inSpider-Man: The Animated Seriesand other content can be seen. The other side features a blue-tinged Venom, seen completely head-on, flaring his massive mouth. Both characters resemble how they appeared in the 90s, giving the PS5 a throwback look.

Spider-Manfans are clearly impressed with the hand-painted artwork, with the post garnering a whopping 7,000 upvotes at the time of writing. Many comments on the post were either lauding the art, with several even asking if there was an option to buy the custom faceplates. While theSpider-Manpaintings are undoubtedly impressive, Eyeradicate2004 is not the only PlayStation 5 owner to have customized their console with a throwback to a popular franchise. Another gamerpainted their PS5 withPokemon’s Team Rocket, featuring Jesse on one side, and Giovanni surrounded by Mewtwo, Persian, and Alolan Persian.
The customSpider-ManPS5 is sure to be the envy of many longtime fans of the franchise, and while it was entirely DIY, not all fans can pull off the same level of artistry. Luckily forSpider-Manfans, specifically ones from the era which the PS5 above evokes, Mondo just revealedaSpider-Man: The Animated SeriesVenom figure. The limited-run figure stands at 13 inches tall, making it suitable to at least place beside aSpider-Manfan’s PlayStation 5.
