InStar Trucker, you’ll need to transport goods across the stars in a safe and timely manner for maximum rewards. However, accidents happen and a collision with another truck or some loose debris can damage the hull. It’s up to you to fix it and keep on trucking. Here are the ways you’re able to repair the hull of your truck andget back to transporting freightacross the galaxy ofStar Trucker.
Hull Breaches
Hull breaches are the first thing the game teaches you about. Space lanes are populated with other trucks and signs. Journey outside of the space lanes and there is all sorts of small debris that you can hit. Collisions will result in small hull breaches on the outside of your truck.
Regularly check the truck status on your cockpit screens to stay on top of the damage. The Truck Status screen will display any breaches and what percentage of your hull integrity is at. Your truck will also look dirty and damagedif you are flyingin third person. Hull breaches are very dangerous as they will lead tooxygen leakingfrom your truck’s cabin. Run out of oxygen, and you’ll be recovered to the nearest station. You’ll then have to deal with a hefty recovery fee.
Once you’ve received a hull breach, you need to manually repair them. Put on your space suit and exit the airlock. Your HUD will show you where the breaches are. You’ll need suit power to repair each breach. The suit power is represented in the lights on the left side of the HUD when wearing the space suit.
Upgrade Shops
Repairing the small breaches will not fix your overall hull status. For this, you’ll need tovisit a truck upgrade shop.There will usually be one at thecentral stationin each area.
Dock at theupgrade stationand choose to repair your hull. This will be free until the warranty expires on your truck. Once it expires at 80,000 miles, you will have to pay cash to repair it. You can also buy upgrades to make your hull sturdier and more resistant to damage.
