Ubisoft releasedStar Wars Outlawsupdate 1.002 with a slew of optimizations and bug fixes across all platforms. The latestStar Wars Outlawsupdate also brings notable improvements to the PC version, allowing players with the latest generation of Nvidia and AMD graphics cards to fully utilize some of the GPU’s features in the game.
Star Wars Outlawslaunched on August 30 to a mild reception from players and generally positive reviews from critics. Although the game did not meet Ubisoft’s sales expectations, development ofpost-launch updates forStar Wars Outlawswill continue unabated. Roughly a month after launch, Ubisoft revealed aStar Wars Outlawsroadmap to give players an idea of what’s to come through November 21, which is the day of the Steam version’s release. The version 1.002 update, also known as title update 2, focuses on addressing lingering bugs and issues from launch, and two more updates will be released on October 24 and November 21, respectively.
Star Wars Outlawsupdate 1.002 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and Ubisoft released patch notes detailing every fix and change with the update. Firstly, theStar Wars Outlawsupdatemakes improvements to stability and performance on all platforms, including bug fixes for FPS drops on Intel ARC GPUs. VRAM usage, RTXDI, and Frame Generation implementation for Nvidia and AMD GPUs have also been improved. In terms of gameplay,Star Wars Outlawsplayers will notice improved animation for Kay’s movements, melee attacks, and takedowns after installing the update. A quick throw button for grenades has been added, and adrenaline gain has been reduced while using melee.
Update 1.002 improves narration, lip-syncing, voice-overs, and dialogue scenes to deliver a more cinematic experience. Additional background dialogue has been added in certain locations and audio levels were tweaked to improve immersion as well. Moreover, camera positioning for Kay’s movements, such as entering low cover or shooting at enemies, was adjusted.
Accessibility options were added toStar Wars Outlawsto ensure more players could enjoy the game. For example, the update adds large and bold font options for subtitles, with prompts that will activate for first-time players. Further, auto mantle/value and auto accelerate/brake settings may now be used. Players can expect even more helpful features inthe October 24 update forStar Wars Outlaws, which will have a key focus on improving quality of life.
Lastly, the optimizations and bug fixes extend intoStar Wars Outlaws’main questsand side quests. Bugs that previously hindered the completion of New Tricks, The Wreck, Viper, and more quests have been fixed.
