Once aStardew ValleyNPC is living in a player’s home, they’ll continue to go through a daily routine that closes out with them going to sleep for the night. However,Stardew Valleyplayer and Reddit user Saraisnotsorry made a mistake while redesigning their home that impactedPelican Town’s doctorand their spouse, Harvey. TheStardew Valleyplayer put their bed into their inventory as they were moving things around, and forgot about it, eventually losing track of time with their farmer passing out at 2 am. However, upon speaking to Harvey in the morning, Saraisnotsorry realized that they hadn’t put the bed back and that Harvey was pitifully looking around, wondering where he would sleep and lamenting that he had slept on the floor the prior night.

Stardew Valley Detail Adds More Life to the Game

Stardew Valleyis full of little details like this that account for possibilities that many players have never attempted or encountered. As this is a rare detail, some fans thought it was added to the game inStardew Valley’s 1.6 update, but it’s actually been around for a while, since the ability to pick up and move a farmhouse’s main bed was added to the title. Other players seemed quite amused at the scene, with some noting that they had to try this with their own in-game spouses.

It’s unlikely that hiding the game’s sole bed away has any negative influence on a player’s relationship with their spouse. In theory, it wouldn’t even necessarily have a negative impact on the player so long as they go to sleep somewhere else, like in theirhome on Ginger Island. However, if they want to avoid this problem, there’s a couple ways to go about it. A player can simply remember to set down their bed anywhere in the house before 2 am and pick it up again in the morning if they want to keep redecorating. Alternatively, placing another bed anywhere else in the house will let the player and NPC sleep at night. With that said, this seems like a fun and harmless prank to pull on a spouse.
