Starfield: Shattered Space’s first new planet is Dazra, thecapital of House Va’ruun. While your initial arrival is less friendly than you’re used to in just about any other city in the galaxy, players will soon be able to wander the streets of the city and compete various side quests that they happen upon.

One side quest focuses on two brothers who are found arguing, and after a few words, it seems they will be dueling. This quest has multiple endings depending on your actions; here are all possible endings and the rewards for each.

The Brothers Both Being Tranqilized

Talking To & Persuading The Brothers In The Duel

Before the duel actually begins, you’ll have time to talk to Amila, and then his brother Borhal. Both conversations can be ended immediately to proceed to the duel, but you’re able to also choose to ask them some more personal questions to see what is really going on. Both brothers willrequire you to persuade themto open up, and this will lead to much more honest answers. Persuading the brothers and hearing their true feelings is optional, anddoesn’t add any content to the quest beyond influencing your choice.

After hearing both brothers out, Danika will let you know your real purpose as Second, to tranquilize both brothers to keep them from dueling. When preparing the Ceremonial Drinks, you’ll have the choice of which brother to tranquilize, nether, or both.

Who Should You Tranquilize In The Duel

Your decision about who to tranquilize with the drinks will determine the fate of the brothers and the ending of the quest. The following decisions and rewards of each are:

Tranquilize Amila

Borhal will think Amila is trying to trick him and will kill his brother in combat, admitting he will regret his decisions.

Tranquilize Borhal

Amila will take the advantage and kill Borhal, also regretting his actions in killing his brother.

Tranquilize Both

Both brothers will admit their feud is not over, though they areunable to proceed with the duel. Danika is hopeful the additional time will give them the chance to forgive one another.

Tranquilize Neither

Borhal having the natural advantage will kill his brother in fair combat, regretting his actions and leaving Danika unhappy with the player for doing nothing.

Which Outcome Is Best?

Overall, there is no “good” outcome to this feud, though thebest of the worst is tranquilizing both brothers. It does offer the lowest credits, but the highest XP reward, Danika is left happy, and the brothers at least have the chance to reconcile. Should you bemore interested in creditsthan anything, there are no lasting negative effects to the end of this duel, so picking a winner or letting them fight fairly gives more credit, even though Danika is left mad at the player.
