Tetris Forever, a compilation ofTetrisgames from developer Digital Eclipse, has set its release date as June 20, 2025.Tetris Foreverwill feature more than 15 classicTetrisgames, a brand-newTetrisexperience, and over one hour of documentary footage that explores the “extraordinary but true story aboutTetris.”
Announced in August 2024,Tetris Foreverlooks to celebrate “40 captivating years ofTetris,” and it is part of developerDigital Eclipse’s Gold Master Series. With this series, Digital Eclipse works to elevate “games that changed the world,” a description that is undoubtedly applicable toTetris. Tetris Forever Includes Over 15 Games
As per the developer,Tetris Foreverincludes more than 15 playable classicTetrisgames. At the time of writing, 14 of theclassicTetrisgames inTetris Foreverhave been confirmed, and some of the titles that have been revealed have never seen official releases outside of Japan. Beyond those classic games,Tetris ForeverincludesTetris Time Warp, a newTetrisexperience in which up to four players “warp between different eras ofTetris.”
Tetris Foreveris not only a compilation of playable experiences, though, as it also presents material that looks at the creation ofTetris. This manifests as documentary featurettes that focus on the “lifelong friendship and creative partnership betweenTetriscreator Alexey Pajitnov and The Tetris Company founder Henk Rogers.” Titles in Digital Eclipse’s Gold Master Series are known for containing this type of supplemental material, andTetris Forever’s video features are sure to be of interest to players who want to learn more about theorigins ofTetris.
